Chapter 653 Sheldon Is Truly Heartless
Cassie's eyes were red from crying, her body curled up on the floor in pain. She couldn't lift her head, only able to glance sideways at Sheldon.
"Sheldon, you watched me grow up. Even if I'm not my father's biological daughter, don't all the years we've spent together mean anything?"
After asking this painful question, Cassie laughed again. But this time, her laughter was filled with mockery and regret.
"Why am I even asking such a foolish question? If you really had a heart, you wouldn't have tricked me into coming back to Holden Residence and locking up. Sheldon, the way you've chosen for me to die leaves no trace of me behind.
"First, I suffer unbearable pain. And after I die, there won't even be anything left of me. By the time I reach the other side, I doubt even my father would recognize me."
She continued bitterly, "Sheldon, you followed my father all your life. You never married or had children. After his death, you became so twisted, so inhuman. You're truly heartless."
Cassie laughed again after speaking, but this time, as her laugh turned to a cough, blood poured from her mouth. The blood was filled with disgusting, wriggling little creatures that were larger than before.
Cassie recoiled in disgust, not wanting these vile creatures to return to her body and continue tearing her apart from the inside.
Sheldon stood at the door, listening to her words without a single reply. He simply smiled and nodded, acknowledging her accusations.
"You're right, Cassie," he said calmly. "The truth is, neither of us are good people. I've lived longer and had more than you, but I'll die with you. You're not losing out completely. Once we're both dead, we'll still be able to fight each other in the afterlife."
Cassie didn't respond to him this time. Instead, she continued to vomit blood.
More blood poured from her mouth. The disgusting creatures crawled back into her body, feeding off her once again. Her attention shifted to the steak nearby. It was still steaming and giving off a tempting aroma.
She recalled Sheldon's words. Despite her pain, she crawled toward the steak. She sank her face into it, biting into it with no care for the blood pouring from her mouth. She chewed, swallowing the food despite everything.
When she finished the steak, she was completely drained of energy. She lay there, feeling her life slipping away slowly.
After a while, blood began to trickle down the corner of Sheldon's mouth. He held
a remote and pulled out his phone, dialing Wesley for a video call.
Wesley answered after a short wait. Behind him stood the large maple tree in Holden Residence.
"Sheldon, where have you been? I've been trying to contact you," Wesley said.
The silence around him showed he was alone.
"Sheldon, why are you bleeding? What's going on? Tell me where you are. I'll come right now!"
"Mr. Wesley," Sheldon said, forcing a smile. "Mr. Marcus' wedding is over, right?"
"Yes, it's over. We just got back to Holden Residence," Wesley replied.
Soon, he noticed the blood on Sheldon's lips, and panic started to set in. "Sheldon, please don't do anything reckless. Tell me where you are. I'm coming to you now!"
Sheldon chuckled softly, then switched the camera to show Cassie. "Mr. Wesley, this is Cassie There's no need to look for us.

care of Cassie for you. She won't be disturbing you anymore. I will die with her. After I'm gone, you can place a memorial for me next to Mr. Holden Senior's grave."
He paused, looking at Wesley affectionately. "Mr. Wesley, you're like a child to me. Mr. Marcus is too.
I didn't want either of you to get your hands dirty with Cassie's blood. So, I'll end it all. I've already scheduled emails to you, telling you about Cassie's crimes. Her sins go beyond what she did to Ms. Laura. She lived too long, and that's my fault. However, everything ends now."
After Sheldon let Wesley see Cassie, he switched the camera to himself. As the blood trickled more from the corner of his mouth, his smile grew more relaxed and affectionate.
"Mr. Wesley," he called softly. "I'll soon be joining Mr. Holden Senior. I'm at peace. From now on, the Holden family is in your and Mr. Marcus' hands. Please take cafe of

"Sheldon, tell me where you are. I'm coming to you right now!" Wesley pleaded as panic took over. "Please don't scare me!"
"Mr. Wesley, I never expected you'd take this video call in front of the maple tree. Maybe it's Mr. Holden Senior's way of seeing me one last time," Sheldon said with a smile.
With one hand, he gently pressed a button on the remote. "Mr. Wesley, don't bother looking for me. You won't find me. Live your life, and don't waste your time."
As Sheldon finished his last words, the ship erupted in a series of explosions.
Wesley froze as the deafening explosions echoed, and the screen shattered into darkness. After that, there was nothing but silence.
Wesley's mind went blank. All he could remember was Sheldon's final smile and the sound of explosions echoing in his ears.
Sheldon and Cassie were dead.
The phone slipped from Wesley's hands, and his body began to tremble uncontrollably. His hands shook, and his legs buckled beneath him. With his back
to the maple tree, he collapsed to his knees.
As Laura saw him kneeling in front of the maple tree, she rushed over and supported him. "Wesley, what's wrong?"
Noticing something was terribly wrong, Laura quickly reached out to touch his forehead. "Wesley, don't scare me! Are you feeling ill? I'll take you to the hospital right away."
Wesley reached out, pulling Laura into a tight embrace.noveldrama
"Laura, Sheldon is gone..." he muttered.
"What?" Laura gasped in shock. "Wesley, please don't joke like that. This isn't
funny."
