Cecilia recalled her stay at the Escobar residence once.

The two granddaughters of the Escobar family had accidentally shattered an antique vase and craftily pinned the blame on Cecilia.

Upon learning the news, Heather, without knowing the full story, began to hit her.

She found it tiring to punish Cecilia physically, so she had her two granddaughters take turns in doing so. Afterward, she tied Cecilia to a post outside, ignoring her pleas for mercy, and left the latter to suffer in the cold.

Later on, Regas rushed over and managed to save Cecilia in time.

After hearing this, Cecilia immediately sat down.

On the other end of the video, Alphonse and Bethany wore gentle expressions.

Bethany even brought out a few small sweaters. "Ceci, what do you think of these clothes I made for my four great-grandchildren?"

Of course, Cecilia praised them.

"Granny, you're really skilled. They're beautiful.”

"Right? I'm glad you like them. I have also knitted a sweater, a scarf, and a pair of woolen trousers for you." As she spoke, Bethany instructed someone to bring them over,

Upon glancing at the video, Cecilia instantly knew that the clothes would surely fit.

Feeling somewhat helpless, Cecilia didn't press on.

After a lengthy conversation with her grandparents, Cecilia finally hung up.

Cecilia had been feeling upset due to the distressing memory caused by Heather, but now, she was completely over it and was in a good mood.

"Mom, this is the first time I've received clothes handmade by family," Cecilia said. After hearing this, Queenie grasped her hand. "My dear, you've had it tough." Immediately, Cecilia shook her head. "Mom, reuniting with you all is the best thing that happened to me."

Queenie embraced her.

"Indeed, I feel so fortunate to have found you," Queenie said sincerely.

"When I'm no longer around, you'll have to spend even more time with your grandparents. They're getting older and they don't have many relatives left."

Queenie's voice was somewhat choked up.

Cecilia couldn't help but feel melancholic. “I know. I will."

From Cecilia's perspective, she and the Jamieson family were each other's salvation.

She needed a sense of family, something the Jamieson family could provide her with. Similarly, the Jamieson family needed that same sense of familial belonging too.

Cecilia and Queenie chatted for a while about some things that had happened that day.

Queenie couldn't help but worry. "Old Mrs. Escobar is so difficult. What are we going to do in the future?"

"Don't worry. When it comes to dealing with such a shameless person, I can be even worse. No matter what, I'm not going to support her."
