Bride To Be Not Me (Janice and Simon)

Zedrick ordered an investigation into Amelia's life in Cruznia over the past year.

The results pointed to a woman named Heidi, who not only bullied Amelia but also deceived her. Apparently, a recent incident had led to Heidi pushing Amelia

forward to take all the blame.

"Don't kill her," Zedrick instructed.

Louis asked, "There's also a man involved. Want to take a look?"

Santiago handed over another file.

Interesting.

Judging by Zedrick's reaction, Louis knew this man had crossed a line with Zedrick. Without hesitation, Louis gestured to the bodyguards, who immediately stormed into Simon's room.

"Why are you hitting me? She's the fraud! This has nothing to do with me!"

Hearing that, Zedrick felt only disgust.

Was he even a man? A coward like him dared to claim he loved someone?

The thought of what Amelia had endured under Simon's cruelty made Zedrick seethe with anger. He hated himself for not being there for her when she needed it most.

But there was no point dwelling on the past.

"Demand ransom from his family," Zedrick ordered.

Louis never refused Zedrick's commands and immediately arranged for that to be done.

"You should stay put and rest. We're heading to Cruznia next week. I've already arranged housing."

Coincidentally, on the first day Louis and Zedrick arrived in Cruznia, their car encountered another vehicle at the entrance of an upscale villa district.

A Bentley was pulling out as their car was about to enter.

Technically, there were separate lanes for entry and exit, but their driver,

unfamiliar with the area, had caused a slight traffic jam.

Santiago, with his sharp memory, immediately recognized the car. "Mr. Louis, that Bentley belongs to the CEO of Prosper Stitch Group."

Both Zedrick and Louis turned to observe the vehicle. The man inside seemed to be watching them as well.

According to their prior research, Edward was someone Orion had specifically warned them to keep an eye on.

Inside the Bently, the driver said, "Mr. Moore, the other car isn't moving."noveldrama

Edward glanced at the license plate. "Then we wait."

One of them had to back down first. For ten long minutes, neither vehicle moved.

Luckily, traffic in the area was light.

Louis clenched his jaw. "Reverse."

Edward, from inside the Bentley, ordered, "Follow them."

Both cars began moving simultaneously, but Edward's Bentley pressed forward

aggressively, forcing the other car

farther back, almost as if asserting dominance.

As the Bentley drove away, Louis kept his eye on it.

Zedrick coughed and commented, "I heard he has a girlfriend named Janice Smith."

Louis raised a brow. "Are they really together, or is it just a rumor?"

Zedrick warned, "Be careful. This is Cruznia. Word is that Edward practically runs Greenfield City from behind the scenes. He may appear low-profile, but he's difficult to deal with."

Louis didn't care. Now that they were in Cruznia, Onley Group and Prosper Stitch were bound to be

enemies. And that meant Janice

would have to be used to Onley

Group's advantage!

Inside the newly purchased villa, Louis was resting when Santiago entered. "Mr.

Louis, Heidi finally talked."

"What did she say?"

"She knows Shirley's last name and where she lives."
