Chapter 754
Grace lowered her eyes and thought of the back view she saw this morning.
Her intuition told her that Brian was there.
'But why didn't he appear?' she wondered.
Grace lowered her head and looked at the photo carefully. She realized a woman was standing behind him.
Her gaze dipped slightly, and her fingers unconsciously tightened. The edges of the newspaper wrinkled.
Justin thought that she was still worried about Brian. A touch of bitterness appeared in his heart. "If you want to see him, I can call him over now."
Grace loosened her grip and put the newspaper back on the shelf. Then, she said indifferently, "There's no need. I don't want to see him."
With that, she walked straight into the ward.

Brian waited outside the research center for an hour before a nurse came out.
He hurriedly went forward and stopped the nurse. "May I ask how the little girl with leukemia is doing?"
The nurse sized him up with a strange look for a moment. Her gaze fell on his injured leg. "Are you talking about the little girl from Asmanidia?" she asked suspiciously.
"Yes."
The nurse frowned. "I'm sorry, but we're not allowed to divulge patient information."
Brian took some money from his wallet and handed them to her. "I'm the child's family. Please tell me about her condition."
The nurse only paused for a moment before taking the money. "You don't seem like a bad guy, so I'll tell you about the little girl.
"She's going to undergo surgery in a few days. She's been doing preoperative checkups for the past few days. The child is intolerant of some drugs and has been doing skin tests for the past two days. By the way, the child is autistic and doesn't talk much."
Hearing her words, Brian asked, "How confident are you in the surgery? Can it be cured?"
The nurse smiled and said proudly, "Of course. We have the world's top researchers on leukemia."
Brian nodded. "Thank you. Which ward is she in?"
The nurse looked up and pointed to the second large window on the fourth floor. "There, that one."noveldrama

The back of Austin's hand turned purple because of all the needles. However, she didn't cry or make a fuss. She didn't even cry out in pain.
She just stared blankly out of the window.
Every time Grace saw her like this, Grace's heart felt like a knife was

Suddenly, she heard something.
She looked up and saw Austin lying on the windowsill. Outside the window were
many pink balloons in various small animal shapes.
A person's face flashed across her mind. Grace quickly ran over and looked out the window but saw nothing.
The strings of those balloons were tied to a large rock.
Grace looked at Austin and finally saw a glimmer of light in her eyes.
Tears streamed down Grace's face. She knew that Brian had done all of this.
But she didn't know why he didn't come up.
She wanted to hear him explain what was happening between him and Sharon.
"Austin, do you like these balloons?" Grace asked.
Austin turned to look at her and nodded.

Grace finally smiled. She grabbed the balloons' strings, cut them, and carried them all into the ward. The ceiling of the ward slowly filled with balloons.
At noon, Grace was about to go out of the ward. At that time, a nurse suddenly walked in with a bag. She smiled and said, "Miss Sherman, a gentleman sent this to you
