Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1539

"If you're feeling under the weather, you should see a doctor. Waiting it out might just make things worse," Fiona said, her face giving nothing away.

Just as Patricia was gearing up to unleash another volley of anger, the teacher strode in, effectively putting an end to the spat.

"Your class is the loudest in the whole school!" the teacher snapped at the doorway before heading off again.

The dorm supervisor was someone they all feared a towering, robust figure with a fierce attitude that screamed 'don't mess with me.'

After the teacher left, Janet sauntered over to Fiona, a sly smile teasing her lips.

"Fiona, I heard you're pretty tight with Allen?" Janet asked, grinning. Fiona stayed quiet, but Janet wasn't fazed and kept smiling at her desk. "Why not ask him for a few signed photos for all of us?"

Fiona kept her silence, fully aware that Janet wasn't being sincere. This was a setup, plain and simple.noveldrama

Janet, unfazed and calm, positioned herself between Fiona and Nash, arms gently crossed, a soft smile on her face.

"I'm not asking for myself, Fiona. I'm thinking of everyone here. The internet's buzzing about your friendship with Allen, and you're also in good with Mr. Fitzgerald. Grabbing some autographs and albums should be a breeze for you, right?"

She threw a knowing look at her friends, who caught on immediately.

"Yeah, Fiona, we're all classmates, and we really like him. You've got connections we don't, so we can't compete with that."

"Fiona, you wouldn't deny us this tiny favor, would you?"

"It's no biggie for you, just a small favor, right, Ms. Fiona?"

They were smooth talkers, but Fiona's face remained impassive.

Janet chuckled softly, making a teasing 'tsk' sound.

"Come on, Fiona, say something. If you can, great; if not, that's cool too. We're classmates, after all, and we won't hold it against you if you say no."

"Why don't you guys just buy them yourselves?" Fiona replied coolly, looking up with narrowed eyes. "I don't owe you anything. I'm not close with him." Trying to guilt-trip her, huh?

As long as she didn't care, they couldn't make her feel guilty!

Janet was pleased to hear this. She smirked slightly and moved over to Nash, feigning innocence as she toyed with the hem of her shirt. "Nash, could you try convincing Fiona?"

Nash didn't even spare her a glance. With an air of effortless grace, he pushed Janet aside and kept reading his comic book.

Janet didn't lose her steam despite being shut down. In fact, it only fueled her determination.

"Fiona, if you won't help with such a small favor, then just forget it."

Janet let out a dramatic sigh, and as she headed back to her seat, she could hear classmates whispering about Fiona. Her plan to stir the pot was unfolding perfectly.

It seemed like everyone was slowly starting to turn against Fiona, and that was precisely what Janet wanted. Nothing thrilled her more than seeing Fiona's reputation take a hit.
