Chapter 1550
The next morning, as Fiona made her way to the school gates, she couldn't help but notice the buzz of whispers and pointing fingers from her classmates. Some of the boys even had the nerve to whistle at her, acting like a bunch of rowdy street punks.
Fiona kept her head high and walked straight into school, only to be blocked by one of the boys. "Hey, Fiona, I heard you're pretty cheap for a night," he snarked, lifting his hand as if to touch her chin, but then pulled it back with a mocking grin. "Filthy, aren't you?"
Choosing to ignore him, Fiona stood at the entrance, her face a mask of calm indifference. The boy, clearly annoyed by her lack of reaction, taunted again, "Fiona, did you really think I'd find you interesting? Look at those eyes, just waiting for me to touch you, huh?"
Laughter erupted from the crowd around them.
"Haha, no way, someone actually bought that?"
"Can't even wait till morning, huh? So desperate for a guy?"
"Probably been through a bunch already, acting like some untouchable ice queen."
Amidst the jeers, Fiona raised her gaze, her eyes cold and clear, and said softly, "Keep spreading lies, and you might end up in juvenile detention."noveldrama
Her words only fueled more laughter from the crowd, dismissing her warning. "Fiona, sleeping around like that, aren't you scared of catching something?"
"Fiona, so broke your parents don't care?"
The vile comments kept coming, but Fiona, with her headphones on, regarded them with a detached amusement, as if watching clowns put on a show just for her.
"Got something to say?" she asked, pulling out one earbud, her gaze piercing as she looked at him. "Move aside."
Her unexpected composure left everyone speechless. What was Fiona playing at? Pretending she couldn't hear them was just too much!
As Fiona headed to her classroom, more students whispered and pointed, but she settled into her seat as usual and started playing a game on her phone.
Janet, having witnessed the morning's drama, couldn't resist a smug comment, "What goes around comes around, doesn't it?"
Patricia, eager to please, chimed in, "Janet, you wouldn't believe how pathetic Fiona looked earlier. It was a riot! Cornered at the gates, people asking her rate for a night, and she acted like she didn't hear with her headphones on. She knew about the rumors since last night and still plays the innocent card."
Earlier, Patricia had filled Janet in on all the juicy details. “Oh, by the way, Janet, that post isn't buzzing anymore." Patricia glanced at her phone, noticing the previously pinned post had been unpinned. "What's up with that?"
Janet frowned, having seen it pinned not too long ago. How did it disappear?
She tried logging into her account to pin it again but couldn't get in. The real-name registration meant she was locked out, unable to manage the forum.
Being the campus forum moderator was a position she'd worked hard to secure, and this sudden block was infuriating.
No matter what she tried, she was locked out. "I'll have to talk to the main admin," Janet muttered, her eyes narrowing as they landed on Fiona. She suspected Fiona had something to do with this, but she had no proof.
What do you think?
