Chapter 1755
The manager, clearly at her wit's end, shoved her aside and said sharply, "Whether you can handle this or not is your problem, not mine. You caused this mess, so you're responsible for cleaning it up. Plus, International Glam is planning to sue you. This whole fiasco has tarnished our reputation, and you're acting like our brand means nothing."
Jane had been done with her nonsense for a while now. After being strung along for so long, she was determined to reclaim her self-respect.
"Just give me a refund. I don't want this dress anymore," Jane insisted, crossing her arms with a face flushed with anger. No way was she coming back here anytime soon.
She wasn't going to lose her mind over this, and even with a VIP card, she wasn't planning on ordering anything custom from here again.
"Ms. Jane, we sincerely apologize. We'll refund your deposit. How about this: the dress was custom-made for you, so I'll offer you a 20% discount. And whenever we get new arrivals, you'll be the first to know. How does that sound?"
The manager was desperate to keep Jane, a valuable customer, banking on Jane's empathy to smooth things
over.
Jane glanced at the dress. She really did like it. Shooting a look of disdain at Fiona, she said sternly, "Alright, just pack up the dress for me. I'll chalk today up to bad luck. But when I come back, I don't want to see her here again!" She pointed at the saleswoman with a reluctant huff.
"Oh wow, when did the Kidd family start throwing money around like confetti? Tossing a dress worth over ten grand just like that—Jane, you've really outdone yourself!"
The voice came from the doorway. It was Amy, laughing uproariously. Considering all the times Jane had gone after them, she couldn't pass up this golden opportunity to get a little payback.
"Amy, don't push your luck!" Jane snapped, glaring at her. "What are you doing here?"
Suddenly, something clicked, and she glanced between Fiona and Jasmine, smirking, "So you're just a little tagalong. Doesn't it make you sick following Fiona around all the time?"
Jane found such self-deprecating behavior beneath her. Despite being a wealthy heiress, Amy shamelessly trailed behind Fiona, someone without status or standing. What kind of future did that hold? noveldrama
The more Jane thought about it, the more smug she felt. Their choices had set them worlds apart. She was tied to the Larkin family, a name that carried weight in the States. Plus, she had discreetly checked with Josie to see if Fiona was linked to
the Stonnell family.
Josie had confirmed there was no such connection, so Jane was convinced Amy and her crew were no match for her.
"It's a bit nauseating, sure, but I've got to live. Seeing you makes me sick, but Fiona doesn't. I'm not here for you." Amy strode over to Fiona, taking her hand with a wide smile.
"You should've let me know you were coming. My family owns this entire mall. If anyone dares to mess with you, they'll have me to answer to."
Amy shot looks at both the saleswoman and Jane. She was here to back Fiona up.
'Jane, why don't you just grab your things and leave? Or do you want me to ask your dad if the Kidd family suddenly hit the jackpot, surpassing everyone in the States? Tossing aside a dress worth over ten grand like it's nothing is quite a habit."
What do you think?
