Given how close Amy and Jane are, you'd think Amy could just talk it out with her. Plus, this issue is so big, there's no way Jane could be completely in the dark about it. Fiona gave her a light tap on the head and sighed, "How can you be so sharp one minute and so clueless the next?"

"This isn't something Amy can just clear up with Jane over a chat. Business is like a battlefield. The Kidd family is gunning to take down the Gregory family and they've already teamed up with the Larkin family. Even if Jane knows, what can she really do? Plus, the moment Amy and Jane fell out, Lizzy was already on the move."

Lizzy's been buddying up to Jane, and now Jane's starting to admire the big five families in the States. She's barely paying attention to Amy's issues anymore. Those five families are the Stonnell, Woods, Larkin, Bryant, and Gregory families. The Gregory family is at the bottom of the heap, which is why the Kidds are targeting them. They wouldn't dare go after the Stonnell or Woods families—it's just not on the same level.

Fiona felt a bit stuck. She was beginning to wonder if Jasmine was really cut out for running International Glam. Why couldn't she wrap her head around this?

While they were talking, Fiona got a text from Jackson. He was cooking dinner himself and had some good news to share.

"I know you're having a laugh at my expense, and that's fine. I can take it. But why do you look so sneaky about it?" Jasmine frowned, eyeing her suspiciously. Ever since Fiona moved to the States, she seemed like a whole new person, nothing like the Fiona from the Capital. She was chatting a lot more these days.

"I'm off now. I'll send you this quarter's new design drafts when I get home. As for the head office, tighten things up. We can't have a repeat of today."

She'd rather spend money fixing problems than let the brand take a hit. International Glam might not be a big name, just a smaller venture of hers, but it was her first company and held a special place in her heart.

"Got it," Jasmine waved her off. She sat there for a moment, mulling over the day's events, then pulled out her phone, made a call, and quickly left the mall. International Glam was gearing up for expansion in the States, and all store managers had to attend. With Fiona's directive, Jasmine had no reason not to nail it.

When Fiona got home, she found Jackson in the kitchen wearing an apron, busy with dinner. He'd given the staff the night off, so it was just the two of them in the big villa. Pure bliss!

Plus, she noticed that the tiny surveillance cameras scattered around the villa were gone. She bounded

towards the kitchen like an excited little bunny.

"Jackson!" Her voice was bright with excitement.

Jackson, already aware of her presence, smoothly popped a piece of freshly fried shrimp into her mouth. It was perfectly cooked, spicy and full of flavor.

"So good!" Fiona tilted her head

back, wrapping her arms around his

waist from behind, giggling.

"Jackson, I splurged on some new outfits today, including a few dresses. Want to see them later?"

Jackson gave a cheeky grin and said, "Absolutely!"noveldrama
