"It's no use getting worked up over him, that's Mrs. Casper we're talking about. Does he even have the guts to do anything about it?" The agent tried once more to persuade Allysha to let go, "That last scandal really shook things up for you. This is your chance to end it clean; it's better for everyone involved."

"But I just can't let it go, I mean..." They were so in love once.

"Come on, Allysha, focus on your career. You're at the top of your game right now;

you can have any guy you want. Letting him go is freeing yourself."

But Allysha couldn't shake it off.

She pushed her coffee aside in frustration.

Then stood up to leave.

"Where are you off to?" the agent called after her.

"To the restroom."

Allysha left the studio, wandering around until she finally found Gabe in a meeting room next to a photo studio.

He was deep in discussion with Eliza about the details of the trade show.

"Gabe." Allysha stormed in, visibly upset.

Gabe and Eliza both looked up at her at the same time.

"Allysha?" Eliza said, surprised to see her, "What brings you here? Aren't you busy with the Welton International ad shoot?"

"Mrs. Welton, I need to talk to Mr. Gillum privately. Could you give us a minute?" Allysha asked, trying hard to remain polite.

Eliza glanced at Gabe, then stood up, "Alright, Brian, let's head back to the thirteenth floor."

She left without further comment, taking Brian with her.

Allysha slammed the meeting room door and marched over to Gabe, bursting out, "You can't seriously be interested in a married woman! She's Casper's wife-are you trying to get yourself in trouble?"

"Is that really any of your business?" He shot her a cold, impatient look.

Allysha's eyes showed her hurt, "How is it not my business? Gabe, until I say we're done, you're still my boyfriend, aren't you?"

"Boyfriend?" Gabe chuckled sarcastically, as if it was the funniest thing he'd ever heard, "When were you ever my girlfriend? Hasn't Allysha always been flying solo?"

"I only said that because I had no choice." She looked at him, bewildered by his change, "Gabe you promised you'd understand my work, you'd support me. You said as long as I was happy, you'd be happy too."

"That was then." He didn't deny he'd changed, and it was because of the woman standing before him, "Now, we have nothing to do with each other. Whatever you do is your business, not mine."

"Why? Why do we feel like strangers all of a sudden?" She was at a loss.

She couldn't wrap her head around how they were so close one day and then he turned so cold the next.

Sure, she was a bit spoiled and had a temper.

But he knew that when he met her.

"Gabe, tell me, what happened that made you treat me like this? Is it because of

her? Did you fall for her, and that's why you broke up with me?"

She grabbed his collar, desperate for an answer.

Gabe smirked.

She was good at feigning ignorance.

"From the moment you went to the Kingsley mansion and spent the night with Collin, we were over."
