His Unveiled Passion

Chapter 473

"Of course," was Stephen's reply.

Tessa peeked up at him from where she was pressed against his chest. Her eyes were sparkling like starlight as she pinned him with an unwavering stare.

Feeling his emotions surge within him, Stephen lowered his head and pressed his lips to hers, pouring his deep affections and desires into the kiss.

Beyond the window were the stars and the ocean. The glass shut out the sounds of the crashing waves while also trapping the sounds of their coupling within the room. The glimmering moonlight filtered in through the window and cast its gentle rays on them.

Tessa leaned her entire weight against the window. Her face was pressed to the glass as she admired the beautiful night scenery beyond it. She couldn't hold back her broken moans when Stephen rocked into her. He kissed her from behind, urgently and hungrily.noveldrama

Tessa felt as if she had been plunged into an ocean of desire. She was lost amongst the waves, allowing herself to be swept into his rhythm.

...

Tessa returned to the law firm after spending two enjoyable days at sea. She quickly buried herself in her work after arriving at the firm in the morning. After looking through a stack of documents, she made herself a cup of tea.

Lester entered her office soon after.

"Tessa, are you busy right now?"

"Is something the matter?" Tessa asked as she looked at him.

Lester lowered his eyes before saying, "I have something I want to talk to you about."

She could pick up the hints of disappointment in his expression. "Is it related to work?" she asked.

Lester shook his head. "No."

Tessa's attitude turned distant. "I do not wish to discuss personal matters during work hours."

"It's hard to catch you alone after work," Lester countered. He lifted his eyes to look at her. There was a hint of urgency in his voice when he asked, "Why did you get back with Stephen so suddenly?"

Tessa kept both her voice and expression neutral when she said, "Mr. Cooper, we're just regular friends. I think you're crossing the

line by asking this question"

Lester's gaze darkened. "Tessa, you know that I have feelings for you, don't you?"

Tessa frowned before she answered, "I noticed it in the past, but since you didn't act on them, I didn't think too much of it."

She pinned him with a serious look. "Since you've brought attention to it now, I'll give you my answer. I'm sorry, Mr. Cooper, but I have a boyfriend whom I love very much. He's the only one I'll ever love."

Tessa's rejection was swift and decisive.

The light in Lester's eyes dimmed.

"You've really forgotten me." He let out a self-deprecating chuckle. "Stephen was right. If a person has

rejected you once, they'll als reject

you a second time." fo

Tessa didn't understand what he was talking about. "What are you trying to say?"

"During our freshman year, I confessed to you."

Tessa's eyebrows knitted together as she sifted through her memories. A hazy

scene floated to the forefront of her thoughts.

"It was late at night on the field. There was a man playing a guitar."

The pieces fell into place. Tessa remembered now.

"It was you."

A bitter smile tugged at Lester's lips. "I've once again suffered a complete defeat."

"Mr. Cooper, you're a wonderful man. You'll meet someone who will return your feelings in the future."

Sadness swirled in Lester's eyes. "But that person won't be you," he mumbled.
