Early the next day, Marissa invited Tessa out for some afternoon tea, and they

decided to meet at a five-star hotel.

When Tessa arrived, Marissa and Summer were chatting. Upon seeing Tessa,

Marissa smiled and stood up. "Tess, you're here."

Tessa hummed in acknowledgement and glanced at Summer.

Summer pursed her lips, stood up, and extended her hand to shake Tessa's hand.

She then said sincerely, "Ms. Yates, allow me to formally introduce myself. I'm

Summer Heatherson from Sableton. I was wrong for my behavior on the cruise

last time, so I'd like to apologize to you. I'm sorry."

Sableton? Heatherson?

Tessa looked at her and asked, "You're the daughter of the Heatherson family

from Sableton?"

The Heathersons from Sableton were a powerful and wealthy family. They had a

son and a daughter. Their oldest son was currently the CEO of Heatherson

Group.

Tessa had even met him some time ago at a banquet.

She had heard that the Heathersons also had a daughter, but their daughter was

living abroad and rarely came back home. Hence, Tessa had never met her.

Summer nodded. "That's me. I was too impulsive last time, and I made mistakes.

Marissa and I had a discussion after everything went down, so I realized what I'd

done wrong.

"Ms. Yates, could you please forgive me?"

Summer's eyes glistened as she looked at Tessa expectantly.

Tessa shook Summer's hand and nodded. "Hello, Ms. Heatherson. It's a pleasure

to meet you."

"I'm so happy that you're able to forgive me! Marissa was right. You're indeed a

reasonable and easy-going person," Summer said with a smile.

Heatherson Group had joined the Fortune Global 500 list. A few days ago,

Samuel and Reece Heatherson, Summer's brother, had been talking about the

prospects of a collaboration at a banquet.

Heatherson Group and Yates Corporation might cooperate in the future, so Tessa

did not think there was a need to make Summer an enemy.

Besides, Summer's apologetic attitude was sincere. It looked like she genuinely

understood that she had made a mistake, and with Marissa mediating between

them, Tessa decided to give her a chance.

Tessa pulled out a chair and sat down.

Soon, the three of them were drinking their afternoon teas, enjoying the pastries,

and chatting.

Summer suddenly said, "Ms. Yates,

did you hear about what happened

to Bruno? I heard that it was quite

bad. He was sent to the hospital

after falling off the ship, and he's still

in the hospital as of now.

"I have a friend who knows him and went to visit him. Although they told me they

had visited him, I know they just wanted to join in on the drama.noveldrama

He can't even pick up a spoon and

Tessa froze momentarily before exclaiming in shock, "It's that bad?"

She wasn't aware of what had happened to Bruno afterward.

Although she did hear from Marissa that Stephen had called someone to take

Bruno away and take "good care" of him, Stephen had never mentioned it to her.

She didn't care to ask either.

"That's right, but that's not all. My

friend heard from the doctors that

Bruno injured his crotch, and he

can't get it up anymore. He's

basically been chemically castrated,"

Summer added with a nod

As she spoke, she pointed to her pants, and Tessa immediately understood.

Tessa laughed, amused by Summer's choice of words. After all, it was her first

how Stephen's men had done it.

Shock filled Marissa's face before she clicked her tongue. "Stephen's really

ruthless. Bruno now needs to live in abstinence for the rest of his life."

Marissa nodded. "I did hear a few things about it, but not in detail. I can only tell

you that his reputation is horrible now."

Summer questioned, "Reputation? Did he even have one? If it weren't for how

powerful his family was, he would have gone to prison a long time ago.

"His father is third in rank in Sudmere. Bruno's only parading outside of jail

because of his father's prestigious position and high authority."

Then, Marissa said, "I heard from my dad that Bruno's dad, Adrian Tatum, has

been taken away by the police and is under investigation."

"That quickly?" Tessa questioned.

"Oh my God. Seriously?" Summer exclaimed.
