Marked By The Alpha's Cursed Blue Moon

Chapter 138. Sacred Revelation

Chapter 138: 138. Sacred Revelation

Mr. Frederick glanced at the maid. "Please, give us a moment," he said gently.

The maid bowed her head and quickly left the room, closing the door softly behind her. As soon as they were alone, Mr. Frederick approached Maria cautiously.

He reached out to touch her arm but immediately recoiled as though shocked by something unseen. His face shifted into an expression of surprise.

Maria looked at him in confusion, concern etching deep lines on her face. "What is it?" her eyes asked silently.

"Maria, what happened?" he asked, his voice low but urgent.

"I had a terrible nightmare," she replied, her voice trembling.

He sat beside her on the edge of the bed. "Can you tell me what it was about?"

Maria hesitated, swallowing hard. Her skin felt unusually hot, and she knew something inside her was shifting.

"I found myself killing a lot of people," she began slowly, her voice filled with dread.

"My rage was uncontrollable. After it all, I returned to myself and started regretting everything. I was covered in blood. I tried to run, but something inside me kept pushing me to kill more. I had to fight it."

Mr. Frederick studied her carefully. "What you were fighting inside... was it talking to you?"

She nodded slowly. "Yes. It had a voice. A loud, terrifying voice. It was masculine and powerful. I couldn’t block it out. It wasn’t just in my head. It was all over me. It wanted more blood."

Mr. Frederick gave a gentle smile and placed a steady hand on hers. "You’re going through a transformation, Maria. Your body, your mind, even your dreams are warning you. But don’t be frightened."

Maria pulled her hand back slightly. "Don’t comfort me with half-truths. This isn’t the first time I’ve had dreams like this. It’s not even the tenth. Something’s not right. You know it, and I need to know too."

He was silent for a long moment before finally speaking. "Have you ever shifted into your werewolf form before?"

She shook her head, eyes dropping in shame. "No. Not once."

"Do you know why you’ve been protected by forces even you don’t understand?"

Maria looked up at him. "I thought they were just coincidences. But now... I’m starting to see it isn’t."

He nodded. "You are in the final stages of transformation. The nightmares are symptoms. But more than that... no one knows how you will turn or what form your transformation will take."

A chill ran down Maria’s spine. "What do you mean by that?"

"Because you are not just another werewolf. You are a child born of prophecy. You were born on the day of the Blue Moon. You are the Blue Moon. You hold the power of the entire pack. That’s why everyone who knows the truth either wants you by their side or wants you dead."

Maria stared at him in disbelief. "Why didn’t my parents tell me this? Were they ashamed of me?"

"No," he said firmly. "They loved you more than anything. That’s why they hid you. All children born on the Blue Moon were to be killed, so they lied. They claimed you were born a day later. They were proud of you. They protected you."

Maria’s voice dropped to a whisper. "Am I going to become a monster?" noveldrama

Mr. Frederick didn’t answer immediately, and the silence stretched until tears began to roll down her cheeks.

"Maria," he said at last, taking her hands in his. "You are a beautiful soul. You can become whatever you choose to be. We kept you here because we believe your shift will be safe as long as you are not angry. If you stay calm, you will not turn into something dark. Stay here with us until the transformation happens."

She looked at him with wide, scared eyes. "But what if I can’t control it? What if I become a danger to others? What use is power if all it brings is pain?"

"We all live under uncertainty," he replied gently. "But you are not alone. Follow our plans, trust me, and believe that you will come out of this whole. I believe in you. And your parents would too."

His words were a balm to her trembling soul. Maria gave a small nod, finally breathing a little easier. He stood slowly.

"Get some rest. You need your strength for what’s coming."

As he moved toward the door, Maria’s voice stopped him. "Mr. Frederick... who are you, really?"

He paused, his back still to her. "That, Maria, is a conversation for another day. Sleep now. Be strong for what lies ahead."

He stepped out, leaving her alone to wrestle with her thoughts. Maria curled under the blanket, still wide awake.

Meanwhile, in the corridor, Mr. Frederick’s expression had hardened.

Maria is nearing the edge. Her shift is close. I need to speak with those at the top. We can’t afford to be caught off guard, he thought as he headed quietly to his room, urgency building in each step.

Mrs Spencer and Mr Frederick were seated under a beautiful tree in the garden, where the both of them were engaged in some discussion.

"Frederick, what have you noticed about Maria for the little time she has been here with you?" Mrs Spencer said as she took a sip of wine from the wine glass in her hand.

"Hmm... A lot of things I can say I have noticed, but the biggest of them I have seen in her, is the ability to quickly accept whatever comes her way and tries to look for solutions to solving them and also her ability to think deep and this comes as a result of her curiosity because she pays attention to every little detail of any discussion she’s engaged in!" Mr Frederick explained all his findings about Maria, as he also took some sips of wine from his glass.

"Wow, that’s great that you have been able to get all this information about her... So how will she be able to handle it, if we tell her about herself?" She uttered those statements in delight, as she also questioned him.

"How she will handle it or how she has handled it, which of them do you mean to ask?" Mr Frederick asked her with a stern look into Mrs Spencer’s eyes.

She was shocked, as she was never expecting any words of such from him.

"What do you mean Frederick?" With a curious look on her face, she asked.

"Maria had a terrible nightmare at midnight and it made her scream out loud, so I and the maid rushed down to her room to check on her. Once we arrived there and I discovered that it was just a dream, I instructed the maid to excuse us and I was left alone with Maria... We had a lot of discussion about her nightmares and some other stuff and I tried to play down her fears, that they were just dreams that come due to the disturbances in her mind; but she won’t be moved by those words and she asked the all-important question about herself, so I decided to take the opportunity, be letting the cat out of the bag!" Mr Frederick narrated all that happened calmly to her.

Mrs Spencer was initially short of words, as she doesn’t know if it is to be happy with him or to get mad at him for breaking the news to Maria without Frederick giving her any notification before doing so.

"Frederick, why would you do so and what state has she been in since then... Hope she hasn’t lost everything?" Mrs Spencer questioned him, as she sounded very worried and extremely concerned about Maria.

"Do not disturb your mind over Maria, she’s doing fine and she has taken it well... Maria is a very strong girl and she knows what is good for her, all we need to be concerned about now is the power to hold her strength down when she finally turns and I know it’s just a matter of days. Maria will soon turn and I can feel the power, it’s going to be extraordinarily massive!" Mr Frederick said as he had a bit of a worried look on his face.

"I know that is the main problem we have... What exactly was her nightmare about?" Mrs Spencer asked out of curiosity.

"It was nothing special or different from what she must have been having before... It was just a sign of what is to come, that we want to curtail and all we need to do now is to be hopeful that we would be able to pull this through!" He said, as he further explained things he believed they needed to do, concerning Maria’s shifting moment.

"We will just need to keep a close watch on her and I believe with the help of the spirits, we would be able to bring her under control!" Mrs Spencer said with a worrying look on her face, as she gulped her remaining wine in her wine glass.
