No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

Noelle hesitated for a moment, but then she just started the game. She did notnoveldrama

accept the other's request to join her party. But doing so only made her heart start beating even faster.

However, she became much more decisive when she recalled the headline that she saw that morning.

Since Cedric was already getting married soon, there was no reason for him to be still looking for her. She wondered if what Cedric had wanted to tell her that day was precisely about his marriage.

Noelle was not fully focused while playing the game.

Meanwhile, on the other end, Magnus was stunned after being rejected from joining Noelle's party.

Curious, he opened up Noelle's game history and saw that she had been continuously teaming up with another guy and that the guy also had the username 'Reverse Time.'

Magnus was utterly confused about what was going on. He immediately took a screenshot and sent a message to Cedric. "Cedric, did you make a new account or something? Okay, whatever. But why are you only playing with Noelle and not inviting me?"

He wondered if Cedric regarded him as an annoying third wheel. A second later, Magnus received a phone call from Cedric, his voice tense. "Who is she playing with?"

"Isn't she playing with you?" Magnus asked.

Cedric gritted his teeth and replied, "No."

Magnus immediately realized that something was off as he stammered, "But she's been playing with this guy for the past two days, and they've been playing nonstop. I thought it was you!"

Cedric's expression darkened completely after looking at the screenshot Magnus had sent him. He wondered if that was the reason why Noelle had been ignoring him.

Magnus continued, "Cedric, did you two have a fight or something? Maybe this is just one of her esports team members at the base, and they're just training together."

It took Cedric a long while to reply. "We argued a little with each other."

"Is she angry at you after you told her about your true identity?"

"No, it's because I didn't reply to her messages in time. Grandma fell ill two days ago, and I also had some urgent matters to attend to at the company. I only got around to replying to her messages the next day."

"Cedric, you're fucked, man. From a girl's perspective, not replying to her in time is akin to an unforgivable

crime! If you've gone three days net

without any messages, you've basically broken up with one another! You should go to Noelle and explain everything."

Irritated, Cedric hung up the call and then opened up WhatsApp to find that his message to Noelle from last night still had not yet been read. At that moment, he felt as if his heart was being torn apart.

Magnus' words echoed endlessly within Cedric's mind as he stared at his phone. His expression was as serious as if he was thinking about an extremely important matter.

A senior executive had just finished giving a report when he noticed Cedric's unusually stern expression, causing the executive to break into a nervous sweat. "Mr. Greene?"

Cedric snapped back to reality and stood up. "You guys can continue."

He strode out of the office, grabbed his suit jacket, and headed straight for the

exit, his expression more stern than ever.

One of his assistants chased after him. "Mr. Greene, is there something urgent?"

"Yes, it is very urgent. I want you to take charge of this meeting and then give me a full report later," Cedric

replied as he stepped into the

elevator. He could not afford to detay any longer.

He had to find Noelle and explain everything to her in person.

Just as he reached the parking garage, he received a call from Emma. "Grandma's awake now. Come to the hospital whenever you're free. She has something she wants to tell you."

"Got it," he replied. In the end, Cedric changed his mind and drove toward the hospital instead.

While on the road, he took a moment to send Noelle a message. "Let's meet at the gym tonight. I know that you don't have class in the evening."

Noelle only picked up her phone and saw Cedric's message after she finished her game. The message was sent to her two hours ago.

Raymond handed her a bottle of water. "Are we still training tonight?"

"I'm going to the gym tonight," she replied.

"The one across the campus?" he asked.
