Chapter 12
Chapter 12:.
Angela watched Anthony walk past her to finally stop in front of Nora.
He bowed and offered her the roses in a gentlemanly manner. “Miss Anderson, may I have the honor of befriending you?”
“…”
Angela’s eyes widened as she stared at the scene in disbelief.
The light in the bar was a bit dim, which made her feel like she was dreaming. Why had Anthony gone for the damn fat girl?
Nora hadn’t expected such a dramatic turn either. She’d only met Anthony twice, and yet he’d left his future fiancée to court her?
But seeing Angela’s surprised and furious look-to the point of making her look rather savage-her anger of a moment ago subsided a bit. The corners of her lips curved upward with great interest in a mischievous smile.
Her smile, which was as bright and dazzling as a sunflower in bloom, made Anthony’s eyes light up.
He was about to say something, but Angela could control herself no longer. She shouted, “Anthony!”
Only when he heard her voice did Anthony realize that Angela was standing next to him. He frowned and asked, “Why are you here?”
Angela kept fantasizing that perhaps Anthony had mistaken someone else for her because of the darkness, but his question had shattered her last vestiges of hope.
She glared at Nora angrily. “Bitch! You’re shameless!”
After shouting, she raised her hand toward Nora.
Anthony stopped her immediately. With a sullen look, he snapped at her, “What are you doing, Angela? Don’t make a scene here like a harpy.”
Angela’s eyes flushed angrily. “Are you really defending her? You know that…”
“Stop it!” Anthony interrupted her. “Look at you now, Angela. Can’t you learn at least a leaf out of Miss Anderson’s book and have some of her ladylike air and charisma?”
Angela was taken aback. “Who do you say she is, don’t you know who she is?”
Anthony was taken aback by her question. “It’s Isabel Anderson…”
He turned around to see Nora sitting quietly on the couch. With her lips curved into a smile, she said lazily, “Isabel is my middle name. I also have another name: Nora Smith.”
“…”
The whole bar fell silent for a moment. The situation had confused everyone.
Anthony looked at her in disbelief. “Y-you…”
He was so shocked that he couldn’t say anything, even after stammering for a long time.
However, Angela managed to react. “He’s tricked you, Anthony! He has deceived both of us. She did it on purpose just to get back at us and tease us.”
That fat fuck had ruined her proposal. Now she hated Nora’s guts.
Angela shouted to everyone around her, “Why are you all still stunned, beat the shit out of her! Beat that woman to death!”
Everyone in the bar was a friend of Anthony and Angela. Hearing her scream, everyone surrounded Nora.noveldrama
Seeing so many people trying to threaten her life, Nora stretched and loosened her muscles to warm up.
Meanwhile, at the entrance to the lobby.
Justin entered the lobby. He was about to go to the elevator when he suddenly heard the noise in the bar.
Through the glass walls, he immediately saw the woman on the couch. There was a little more coldness in her usually aloof expression.
There was malice in the faces of everyone around her. From the looks of her, it seemed she was about to be assaulted by that group….
Seeing that they were about to start, Justin suddenly turned and walked into the bar.
“Stop!”
His deep, cold and fierce shout made Nora, who was about to take action, stop. Then, a group of well-trained bodyguards rushed in. In no time, they had surrounded the bar.
The elegant man at the entrance wore a luxurious hand-tailored suit. The mole in the corner of his eye gave off a sense of coldness. His cold eyes swept the place and he slowly said, “Group fights are forbidden at the Finest Hotel!”
“…”
Nora, who had just felt like fighting, lost interest in an instant.
Wow.
That man sure had a lot of rules. It was affecting her performance.
Intimidated by the aura around him, everyone else stopped moving as well. Anthony, the one who had been leading the party, approached and asked, “Who are you?”
Lawrence, who was following close behind Justin, replied, “This is Mr. Hunt.”
Mr. Hunt from the Finest Hotel? Justin Hunt? That man at the top of the golden pyramid?
Anthony had heard he was here in California on a business trip. His family had given him a thousand and one warnings and told him not to mess with him.
Everyone’s expressions changed drastically.
Lawrence didn’t understand why his boss was suddenly nosy, but since he had set the rules, they had to enforce them.
He cleared his throat, lifted his chin and ordered, “How dare you fight in the Finest Hotel, are you sick of living? Get out.”
Everyone rushed out as if they were running away.
When Nora saw that Angela was also preparing to leave with the crowd, a sharp look crossed Nora’s eyes. She held Angela’s arm. “Angela, there’s something you haven’t said yet.”
Angela was already scared and lost at that point. She looked at Justin fearfully, wanting to just leave quickly. She lowered her voice and replied, “Why are you acting crazy? Let go of me.”
“Okay.” Nora obediently let go of his arm.
Angela let out a sigh of relief. Just as she turned around and was about to walk away, a huge force suddenly hit her from behind and threw her into the air.
Boom!
Angela hit the table in front of her and fell to the floor. She felt as if all her internal organs were hurting.
After kicking her, Nora reached over and grabbed her by the hair. In a fervent tone, she said, “Do you remember what you wanted to tell me now?”
Angela’s eyes widened. Red-eyed, she shouted, “You’re being violent, Mr. Hunt!”
Justin frowned. The woman’s kick now was unexpectedly forceful. She seemed to have some pretty good moves, which made him look like he had been too intrusive.
Before even speaking, Lawrence reprimanded her. “Group fights are forbidden at the Finest Hotel, Miss Smith, don’t you have any respect for Mr. Hunt’s rules?”
Nora looked up slightly. Her appearance made her look polite and sensible. She replied softly, “I am alone. I’m not in a group.”
“…”
Her words silenced Lawrence.
When one thinks about it, there was nothing wrong with what she said.
Stunned, Angela shouted, “Help!”
Seeing that someone was about to approach, Nora looked coldly and asked, “Are you trying to gather a group of people?”
“…”
Seeing that no one dared to approach anymore, she looked at Angela whom she was holding.
Initially, because they were sisters, after all, she had only wanted to know her son’s whereabouts and hadn’t intended to make things so ugly. But injecting him with hormones when he was only five years old? So much spite had taken all restraint out of her.
Slap!
He slapped Angela mercilessly across the cheek. Seeing her cheek visibly swollen, he said slowly, “If you keep quiet, I’ll spank you so hard you won’t recognize yourself anymore.”
A trembling Angela could stand it no longer. She burst into tears and said, “I’ll talk, I’ll talk! That child …”
