Patrick entered the ward, his expression as composed as ever.

Seeing Oscar and Shawn standing guard in front of Kelly, he remained calm.

"What happened? I heard Kelly wasn't feeling well. How were you taking care of her?" Patrick was flexible and adaptable, not because he wanted to keep up appearances but because he understood that even if he dealt with Kelly in secret, he couldn't afford to sever ties publicly.

Oscar didn't let Shawn speak. As the rightful heir, he had no duty to concern himself with Shawn's survival, but he was still a police officer.

Finally, his eyes landed on Kelly. "Wise people understand the situation. The choice is yours. After all you're the mother of two children"

If she cooperated, he wouldn't harm her. But if she resisted, her children would become her atest weakness.

Kelly gripped the blanket tightly, staring at Patrick.
