Untill His Cold Dismissal 64
"Are you done?"
Tristan watched Sophia lazily lean back onto the sofa, her exquise profile bathed
in the lights.
He looked around but did not see Hudson
He was somewhat surprised.
"Would he let Sophia return to me so easily? he thought.
Sophia tilted her head, looking speechless. "I have no idea what Hudson's up to. It's a simple procedure, but he made it sound complicated."
The speechlessness in her tone and her seriousness made Tristan smile faintly.
Sometimes, her straightforwardness is a good thing. At least, it gives other men no chance, Tristan thought.
Tristan's lashes lowered slightly, concealing the mischievous smile in his eyes. "He's young. Maybe he just wanted to spend more time with you"
Sophia pouted and said, "I don't think so. He must want to trick me into buying the herb Professor Williams wants."
She had just followed Hudson to the organizers. Hudson had almost completed all the necessary procedures, and she merely showed her face.
When she wanted to return,
was, what it looked like, and, on kept holding her back, going on and on about what the herb Professor Williams wanted
it was used for.
Between the lines, he was trying to get her to join him in bidding for that herb.
"He's not a layman like Tristan. He can totally bid for an herb on his own.
Isn't it obvious that he was hoping I'd foot the bill?
That kid has no shortage of schemes.
Not to mention his worth as a young genius, just as a Myers, bidding on a rare medicinal herb is nothing to him.
And I, for the past three years, have been focusing on the Stewart Family and Ethan, without any time to make money.
Now, in preparation for Andrew Yeats's future recovery, I have to rely on selling handmade pills.
I wouldn't fall for his trick!' Sophia thought.
She seemed to think of something. Suddenly, she turned slightly looking at Tristan beside her, her exquisite brows arching a bit. "Tristan, if there really is a herb at this auction beneficial to your grandpa, you pay for it, right?"
The pills she made were going to be auctioned off today, but it would take a week before the money reached her account.
Right now, she was practically broke.
So she had to know the answer.

Tristan was slightly taken aback by her question, but looking at her earnest expression, he couldn't help but chuckle. "Sure. and... to thank you, Mr. Young, for saving my grandpa, I'll pay for anything you fancy. Consider it my grandpa's medical
penses."
Tristan wore a smile, his thin lips sexy. The way he addressed Sophia as "Mr. Young" was just like how he called her Sofi.
Sophia's ears turned red for some reason.
Her long lashes quivered as she resisted the tingling sensation in her ears. She leaned back against the sofa and said, "If there really is something I fancy, consider it a loan from you. As a friend, I don't need you to pay for your grandpa's treatment."
Tristan gazed at Sophia's profile, suddenly leaning slightly closer towards her.
There was a sparkle of joy in his eyes, and in a husky voice, he said, "Thank you then, Mr. Young."
At that moment, Sophia felt both her ears and face burning, as if every pore on her body expanded in that instant.
In a booth deliberately chosen for its clear view of Booth 24, Xandra's face darkened.
She nearly broke the composure and pride expected of a socialite, silently gritting her teeth to the point of almost breaking them.
"Who is that woman?!
Even me, Tristan's fiancée, could not sit beside him, yet she sat there as if it were
the most natural thing in the world.
And Tristan even smiled at her?
When have I ever seen such a gentle expression on his face?
Even when facing me, his fiancée, he's always... Xandra thought,
She immediately recalled the gossip she overheard at the mansion entrance about Tristan-
Tristan was said to have brought a female companion to the auction.
Xandra had thought it was a rumor.
To her surprise, there was indeed another woman by Tristan's side!noveldrama
'Why?
Why did that woman get to sit beside Tristan? Why did she receive his special attention? Xandra thought.
She clenched her fists, unaware of her meticulously crafted nails digging deep into her flesh, the ley hatred in her eyes almost spilling over.
Her hatred was exceedingly intense.
Sophia sharply sensed something, turning her head slightly toward the source of the intense emotion.
From her angle, she could only see a woman in a black evening gown, with a refined makeup that exuded her pride and

Beside her sat another woman, also dressed luxuriously, but her face was obscured, so Sophia could not see her looks.
Sophia frowned slightly.
She didn't know the woman in the black gowIL
However, when she met the woman's eyes, the intense emotion in her eyes dissipated, replaced by a perfectly elegant smile of a socialite, with even a hint of superiority.
7 Sophia was speechless.
What's wrong with this woman?
Her inexplicable hostility reminds me of Ethan and Chloe, the two fools, Sophia thought.
She withdrew her gaze from the woman and glanced doubtfully at Tristan beside her. 'Look over there. Could she be your admirer?
Besides Tristan sitting next to her, Sophia couldn't think of another reason for a stranger to be so intensely hostile to her.
Tristan slightly raised his brow and glanced coldly in the direction of Xandra.
Xandra became serious all of a sudden. She immediately corrected her posture and put on a bright smile.
But before she could smile at Tristan, he had swiftly averted his gaze.
That casual glance seemed to wrap Xandra's heart in layers of frost.
His cold attitude made her eyes dim.
"We're not familiar."
Tristan's gaze returned to Sophia's face, and his voice was indifferent. "Just ignore her."
Sophia could tell that in Tristan's eyes, that woman was indeed like a stranger.
But...
"I'd like to ignore her," Sophia clicked her tongue, tilted her head slightly, and said
with a teasing smile, "but that lady... doesn't seem to think so."
