Chapter 713
Cameron nodded.
Bradley asked with concern. "His hand
Cameron replied, "I took care of it briefly. Are you okay?"
Bradley came downstairs and pulled the girl into his arms, his voice gentle. "Cam, I'm fine. Gavin was just warning me not to hurt you, or he won't let me off the hook."
Cameron reached up and gently tugged at his collar, her smile bright as she looked at him. "Brad, if that day ever comes, Gavin won't get the chance to do anything about it."
Bradley stared at her. "Cam, that day will never come."
Cameron smiled softly and smoothed his collar.
Bradley held Cameron tightly in his arms. That day would never come.
After breakfast, Cameron's friends said their goodbyes and left one by one.
After lunch, the Yates family had to head back home, too.
Nathan and Beth tried to convince them to stay a few more days, but Levi and Jacqueline politely declined.
They naturally wanted to be home for the holidays.
Cameron would be going back with them. Bradley would naturally be coming along to Viremont as well.
Beth reminded Bradley, "Brad, you need to come back for Christmas."
Three months later, Cameron and Bradley would be engaged. Six months after that, they'd be married. So next Christmas, Bradley would spend the holiday with the Yates family.
Bradley nodded. "Okay."
Every member of the Saunders family had prepared gifts for Cameron.
When Cameron arrived, her trunk was complete. Now that she was leaving, her trunk was whole again.
Cameron knew the Saunders family loved her because they loved Bradley. She squeezed his hand tightly.
Before leaving, Cameron suddenly spoke up, "Brad, can I check out your closet?" "My closet?" Bradley looked puzzled but nodded indulgently. "Sure, I'll show you." Bradley had always lived in the main house. Though each sibling had a villa, they preferred staying in the main building. It was livelier and more convenient, too.
Their rooms were like private suites, with bedrooms, studies, walk-in closets, and storage rooms.
Bradley led Cameron to his closet. The space was huge, with all his clothes hanging neatly in glass wardrobes.
Cameron stood at the entrance, hei pare slowly sweeping serta every piece of dining.
Bradley wrapped his arms around her from behind, pressing his chest against her back. He led head and bed, can via da yol aastate to see my closet?"
Cameron didn't answer. Instead, she asked, "Are all your clothes from childhood to now in
Bradley's gare fell on the wardrobe. "Everything from high school to now should be hers."
"High school?" Cameron nodded and stepped forward, pulling open the glass door.
Back then, Bradley was in his senior year.
Cameron's fingers gently moved through the clothes, one piece after another.
Bradley didn't know what Cameron was looking for. He just stood behind her, watching with a slight smile. Most of Bradley's clothes had only be work once or twice and still looked new.
Cameron searched for quite a while. Her gaze finally settled on a black windbreaker. She reached up and took it down, scrutinizing it before gently holding it against her chest.
It was the piece. In her past life, this very jacket had covered her broken body. The fabric felt soft. Cameron's fingers tightened slightly around itnoveldrama
"Cam?" Bradley looked puzzled.
Cameron's lips curved into a small smile. "Brad, can you give me this shirt?" Bradley blinked. "What?"
