Shrouded Affections Winning Back My CEO Wife

Chapter 1251

Chapter 1251:

Eileen’s schedule had been packed lately, and she hadn’t been able to visit Dalores in person.

Dalores’ health had stabilized, and she and Julio had put their complicated relationship on hold for the time being. Their primary focus was on Emerson’s treatment.

Given Julio’s influence, there was a good chance that Emerson’s illness could be cured by medication. When Eileen arrived, Emerson had just been taken into the therapy room, with Dalores trailing behind.

It had been a while since Eileen and Dalores had last seen each other. Dalores seemed to have put on a few pounds, but Julio looked noticeably more worn down.

Just as Dalores was about to follow Emerson into the room, she spotted Eileen amidst a cluster of medical personnel. A brief wave was all the greeting they could manage. “You go on ahead,” Eileen gestured to Dalores before stepping into the ward.

Seeing Eileen, Julio hesitated and inquired, “Weren’t you in a bit of a tussle with the Deleon Group before? Things seem to have quieted down lately.”

“They’ve kept their distance,” Eileen replied. “So I’m not giving them much thought.”

After all, if they clashed, the conflict would take its toll on her resources and energy.

“Great,” Julio said. “Then you can go and help sign the contract for the Freguson Group tonight.”

Eileen’s smile faltered, prompting Julio to add, “Benjamin’s resignation is official, and the company’s on solid ground. It’s a standard contract; you can sign it at a dinner party and be on your way after that. Oh, and it’s Emerson’s birthday today.”

Eileen felt resigned. Had she visited a day sooner or later, Julio wouldn’t have made this request.

After all, Julio had assured her that he wouldn’t let her do anything for the company unless absolutely necessary. He was indebted to Eileen for her assistance with the Freguson Group. He hadn’t let her resign because of that. In truth, given Eileen’s current status, the Freguson Group’s bonus was nothing to her.

Bryan had been very protective of Eileen, and Julio wouldn’t dare bother her with work easily.

Eileen replied, “Okay. I’ve been so busy recently that I forgot Emerson’s birthday. I’ll make it up to him another day.”

Soon, Dalores appeared with Emerson in her arms. It had been some time since Eileen’s last visit, yet Emerson still remembered her. Eileen stayed for lunch, departing when Emerson was ready for his nap.

Julio escorted her downstairs.

“I’ll text you the restaurant details. The contract will be waiting at your table, and someone will give you a ring when it’s time,” Julio said.

Despite her personal involvement, Eileen didn’t need to know the project specifics or its value. Her role was simply to go and get the contract signed.

What bothered Eileen the most was how she could get this done without letting Bryan know.

In the evening, she gave Bryan a call.noveldrama
