The Almighty Dominance

Chapter 344

Alex raced to the penthouse, his heart hammering wildly in his chest after tracking Sophia's phone.

The fear that she might be in danger fueled his desperation.

Without a second thought, he slammed his foot against the door, splintering it open with a thunderous crash.

But what he saw inside nearly shattered him.

Sophia was on her knees, kneeling before a smug, naked Gilbert, her face facing Gilbert's manhood.

"What the hell is going on here?" Alex's eyes were filled with confusion, the sight shaking him to his core.

Gilbert casually pulled up his underwear, wearing a twisted, arrogant smile. "Ah, it's you again. Did you come to enjoy the view of me and my fiancée?"

"Fiancée?" Alex's voice trembled with disbelief. He turned his gaze toward Sophia, eyes begging for an explanation.

"Sophia, what the hell is this?"

Sophia's head jerked up, panic flooding her eyes. She shook her head frantically, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Alex, please, it's not what it looks like "

Gilbert chuckled darkly, eyes glittering with cruel amusement.

"Why hide it now, Sophia? You came willingly, didn't you? Drinking with me, cozying up to me-wasn't this exactly what you wanted? Since he's here, let him see the truth."

Alex's chest tightened painfully. "So this is why you said you needed me, Sophia? To witness you knelling at another man's feet?"

“I—I didn't—” Sophia stammered, eyes brimming with tears, her heart feeling as if it were splintering into a thousand shards.

She desperately wanted to explain, but the words wouldn't come.

Gilbert's laughter rang out again, harsh and cruel.noveldrama

"Don't lie, Sophia. Tell him the truth-that we're getting married soon, and you promised you'd pleasure me however I wanted."

"And I clearly remember you just promised me a good blowjob."

Sophia's tears streamed down her face, her soul crushed under the weight of despair.

She wanted to scream the truth-to cry out that she loved Alex, that she never wanted any of this.

But her family's lives were on the line.

Her brother had just been beaten in prison. Her mother was in the hands of Gilbert's men.

What could she possibly do?

She felt trapped, as if she'd fallen into an endless, suffocating pit of darkness.

"Speechless, huh?" Alex spat bitterly, disgust etched deep into his features. His heart, once so full of hope, now felt hollow and betrayed.

"All this time, you've been lying to my face, making me believe we had another chance. How stupid was I to trust you again."

"No-no, Alex! Please, listen to me! I never meant for any of this—" Sophia sobbed, desperation pouring from her voice.

"Then explain it, Sophia!" Alex's voice cracked with pain, his face contorting in agony.

"Explain why you're down on your knees ready to please this bastard. Can you even deny it anymore?"

Sophia could only shake her head, choking on her tears, unable to utter another word.

"I'm so sorry, Alex," she finally managed to whisper, her voice breaking. "I didn't want this. I didn't want any of this."

Gilbert's cold gaze narrowed dangerously. "Watch your mouth, Sophia. Tell this pathetic man to leave, now, so we can finish what we started."

Alex stared at the woman he once dreamed of spending his life with, the one he envisioned as the mother of his children.

Now she knelt before another, humiliation staining her beautiful face.

The pain was unbearable.

And yet, he had to admit-he'd just been betrayed by the woman he loved.

"I should've let you go a long time ago," Alex whispered, bitterness thick in his throat.

"If this is your revenge, congratulations-you've destroyed me. Never come near me again, Sophia. I'm done being your fool."

Alex turned sharply, shoulders heavy with heartbreak, and stormed out of the

room.

Sophia felt her heart shatter into countless pieces.

Pain surged through her chest, almost bringing her to her knees. Desperately, she reached out and grabbed Alex's hand, her grip trembling.

"Alex, please listen to me!" Her voice cracked as tears streamed down her face.

"I swear, I love you. Hurting you was never my intention. You have to believe me!"

Alex jerked his hand away, eyes blazing with a mix of fury and betrayal. He pointed sharply at Gilbert.

"You love me? Then explain him! Do you think I'm blind, Sophia? I saw everything!"

"No, no! It wasn't what it looked like," Sophia whispered, biting her lip so hard it nearly bled.

"Not what it looked like?" Alex's eyes darkened dangerously, his voice dripping with menace.

"Are you telling me he forced himself on you? If that's true, say it. I'll deal with him personally."

Sophia's blood ran cold. The words choked in her throat. She wanted to scream the truth, to tell Alex everything.

But she couldn't. Gilbert still held her mother captive; his grip on their lives was ruthless and unyielding.

If Alex dared to cross him, death would follow swiftly.

The Guise family was a force neither of them could challenge.

"Sophia! Answer me! Is what I'm saying true?" Alex demanded, his voice sharp, desperation and anger merging into a deadly quiet.

"I'm sorry, Alex. I have my reasons," Sophia whispered, every word slicing through her heart.

"Reasons?" Alex sneered bitterly, disgust coloring every syllable.

"What reason could possibly justify selling yourself? What reason could stop you from explaining this to me right now?"

Sophia sobbed, her shoulders shaking uncontrollably. "Please, forgive me, Alex. You have to trust me."

"Don't apologize," Alex said sharply, his voice cold and hollow. His eyes drifted away from her, distant-void of everything but an unbearable emptiness.

"We're divorced. You owe me nothing. And I have no right to judge you anymore."

He took a breath, steadying the pain

in his chest. "It's my fault. I was a fool to believe we could ever find our way back. That was my mistake, not yours. But please... don't come back into my life again."

"I'm still human, Sophia. And I can't take any more pain from you. Please... let me

go."

Sophia stood frozen, heart splintering, words caught in her throat.

Every part of her burned with love for him, but it was like watching the last light fade from a dying star Losing him wasn't just losing love-it felt like losing the will to breathe.

And in that unbearable silence, something inside her broke wide open. The pain,

the heartbreak, the betrayal-it all gave way to a terrible, piercing clarity.

She finally understood what she had to do.

"You're right,” she whispered, her voice trembling as she forced a smile that was more a wound than a gesture.

"Maybe it's better if we never meet again."

The words tasted like ash, but they sealed her fate. The day she married Gilbert would not be a celebration-it would be a funeral for her soul.

With Alex gone, there was nothing left. No light. No warmth. Only the hollow ache

of a heart that once dared to believe in love.

She would leave this world too.

She had fought, bled, and clawed through so much, chasing even the faintest

spark of happiness.

But maybe she was cursed-too beautiful for a life untouched by cruelty.

Her whole existence had been a pattern: used, discarded, forgotten. Everyone

wanted something from her. No one ever truly cared.

Except Alex.

And even him... she kept hurting, over and over again. Yet despite everything, her

heart still reached for him.

Still loved him. Still fell for him.

Her eyes brimmed with tears, the world around her blurring into a sea of shadows

and silence.

With her heart in pieces and

darkness closing in, she turned one last time to Alex, pouring every

fragment of her soul into that gaze one final, desperate reach for

something real.

"Alex... I really do love you."

But deep down, she knew-her voice would vanish into the void, unheard.

And so, in that cold, collapsing silence, she made her final decision.

Death was the only way out of this darkness.
