Chapter 348
Alex watched Rudolf's sluggish movement with disdain and flicked his finger
sharply, knocking Rudolf's hand away.
Rudolf's arm shot back as if struck by a bullet, dragging his entire body backward.
His whole frame crashed violently into nearby chairs, scattering them in all
directions.
Joey, eyes wide with panic, dashed toward his father. "Father! What happened?"
"I-I slipped," Rudolf stammered, struggling to stand upright.
Several spectators rose from their seats, quickly surrounding Rudolf.
"Sir Rudolf! Are you alright? What's going on here?"
Their worried faces made it clear they recognized him.
Before Rudolf could answer, Joey pointed an accusing finger toward Alex
"Listen up, everyone! This thug tried to molest me, and when my father stepped in
to stop him, he attacked him!"
"You lying bitch!" Lyra exploded, her voice shaking with fury.
"Is every word that comes out of your filthy mouth a twisted lie?"
"Shut your dirty mouth!" Joey snapped back, venom in her voice.
"Your disgusting excuse of a man tried to put his filthy hands on me! And now
you're defending him?"
Two burly men stepped forward aggressively, glaring menacingly at Alex.
"So this is your idea of bravery, huh? Harassing a woman and then assaulting an
elderly man? Let's settle this in the arena"
"Yeah," chimed in another, cracking his knuckles. "I'll teach you the meaning of
respect, you gutless creep!"
The growing commotion attracted even more onlookers, and soon the entire
crowd murmured with outrage, spreading whispers like wildfire:
A pervert had assaulted a woman and attacked an elderly man.
Suddenly, the commentator's voice thundered over the loudspeakers, filled with
mockery.
"Well, ladies and gentlemen, breaking news! Alex, our resident loser, apparently
couldn't keep his hands off a lady and even attacked an elderly man—before he's
even faced Michael! What a pathetic coward!"
Jeers erupted throughout the stadium.
"I'm hearing the crowd wants justice! How about we get this scum into the arena
right now to teach him a lesson in manners?"
"Get up there, you spineless coward!" shouted someone from the crowd.
"Try fighting someone your own size for once!"
The spectators burst into chants, their voices rising like a storm.
"To the arena! To the arena!"
Lyra looked anxiously around, seeing a sea of angry faces and pointing fingers, all
aimed directly at Alex.
She leaned close, voice trembling, "Alex, I think we've just fallen right into their
trap."
Alex shook his head calmly, his eyes cold and defiant. "Don't worry. Their little trap
is far too weak to hold me. I'll crush it under my foot soon enough."
Abruptly, the shouting spectators parted like waves, allowing a towering figure to
stride confidently toward Alex.
The crowd hushed with anticipation.
The massive man, muscles bulging beneath his clothing, stopped inches from
Alex, sneering with contempt.
"You're either incredibly brave or incredibly stupid—harassing a woman and
attacking an old man when you're already scheduled to be Michael's punching
bag."
"If you're so eager to die, why wait? Let's settle this now. I'll send you straight to
hell myself."
Alex met the man's aggressive gaze without flinching, his voice calm and dripping
with disdain.
"Don't jump to conclusions yet. It's still unclear who's taking that trip to hell."
"You? Beat me?" Bill stared in disbelief, then erupted into loud, mocking laughter,
his chest heaving.
Soon, the crowd joined in, their ridicule raining down on Alex.
Rudolf, sneering viciously, stepped forward, his voice filled with scorn. "You
arrogant little fool! Do you even understand who you're talking to?"
Pointing proudly at Bill, Rudolf continued harshly, "This is Bill, the number two-
ranked knight in Paris, second only to Michael himself! You're not brave—you're
begging to be torn apart!"
Bill strode confidently into the empty arena, grabbing the microphone with a
vicious grin.
"Alright! Who wants to watch me pound some respect into Alex—the filthy coward
who attacks women and beats up old men? I say it's time we teach him a lesson
in humiliation!"
"Yeah!" the spectators roared back, their voices charged with anger.
"Kill that bastard!" someone shouted from the crowd.
"Show him what happens when he disrespects Paris!"
Every voice rose in fury, painting Alex as the villain with relentless venom.
Lyra leaned close to Alex, her voice urgent yet strangely calm.
"Alex, there's good news and bad news. Which do you want first?"
"Give me the bad," Alex replied coldly, eyes locked on Bill.
Lyra sighed. "Looks like you've been set up by Michael and that snake Guise.
They've branded you a criminal."
"That much is obvious," Alex muttered bitterly. "What's the good news?"
Lyra's eyes gleamed sharply.
"The odds for your fight with Michael
just skyrocketed to thirty-to-one. And
now, they've started placing bets on
Bill's fight too. You're sitting at
fifteen-to-one."
She leaned closer, a daring smile on her lips.noveldrama
"If you crush Bill, we'll rake in fifteen
billion. And if we roll that fifteen
billion onto your fight against
Michael... Alex, we could bankrupt all
of Paris."
The words alone made Lyra's breath hitch.
A rush of heat bloomed under skin, flooding her senses like a drug.
The scale of it—the billions—was too much.
Her legs tensed, her fingers curled, and a soft gasp escaped her lips.
It hit her like a wave she couldn't stop. Right there, standing before the crowd, the
sheer thrill of the moment sent her over the edge.
Her knees nearly buckled as the orgasm rippled through her, silent but
undeniable.
She blinked, dazed, flushed, trying to steady herself.
"God, Alex..." she whispered, breathless, "you have no idea what that does to
me."
Alex's mouth curved into a cold smile. "Will they even take such a huge bet?"
Lyra smirked confidently. "They're backed by the Bank of Paris, and they're
arrogant enough to take it. After all, they think their victory is guaranteed."
Bill's voice boomed impatiently from the arena, filled with mockery.
"What's wrong, Alex? Lost your nerve already? Drag your worthless ass up here!"
Lyra patted Alex's shoulder reassuringly. "Go up there. Unleash your anger and
don't hold back. I've already secured the bets."
Alex nodded slowly, stepping into the arena as the entire crowd erupted in furious
boos and jeers, showering him with insults.
Standing proudly in the ring, Bill sneered at Alex, his eyes burning with contempt.
"You're finished, you disgusting bastard. You're gonna die right here—no chance
you'll even make it to Michael!"
Alex narrowed his eyes, icy and deadly.
"Oh, I get it. You're here to weaken me so your precious Michael can pick up an
easy victory. Afraid he can't win fairly?"
Bill growled, his face twisted in rage.
"Michael is Paris's greatest
fighter—he doesn't need tricks to
crush garbage like you. You're gonna
die right here because you're
nothing but a filthy coward who
preys on innocent women. You're an
absolute disgrace!"
With slow, menacing movements, Bill drew his massive axe.
Then, without warning, he charged forward, his enormous frame like a charging
bull, his blade flashing so fast it blurred in the air.
The crowd's adrenaline surged as they screamed wildly.
"He's finished! Bill's Moon Axe is unstoppable—only Michael himself can survive
that strike!" shouted an amazed spectator.
The arena exploded with noise, everyone convinced Alex about to meet a
brutal end.
But Alex stood perfectly still, unfazed by the lethal charge. At the last second, his
hand whipped through the air in a casual but powerful slap.
A loud, sharp crack echoed through the arena as Alex's hand connected squarely
with Bill's face.
To everyone's astonishment, Bill's huge body flew backward through the air like
he'd been shot from a cannon, soaring helplessly and tumbling out of the ring.
The arena fell dead silent.
Every spectator stared in stunned disbelief, unable to comprehend what they'd
just seen.
Nobody could believe their eyes—Alex had shattered Bill's arrogance with just a
single slap.
What do you think?
