The Almighty Dominance

Chapter 353

When people started chanting, "Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!" Alex felt his pulse quicken.

He stared into Sophia's beautiful eyes, captivated by the soft glow on her flawless face.

He loved this woman with every fiber of his being, deeper than he'd ever loved anyone before.

But tonight, she was drunk, vulnerable, and worse-she was supposed to marry someone else in a matter of days.

As much as his heart begged him to kiss her right there, Alex knew he had to do the right thing.

"No," Alex whispered gently, fighting against his own desire.

Instead, he swept Sophia into his arms, lifting her gracefully in a princess carry.

Her delicate frame rested comfortably against his chest, sending warmth through his body.

"I'm taking you back," he said firmly, trying to ignore how good it felt to hold her so close.

Sophia struggled slightly, beating softly against his chest.

"Let me down, Alex! If you don't love me, don't touch me!"

Alex tightened his hold, ignoring her protests.

"I'm not letting you go," he said, stepping toward the street to hail a taxi.

The disappointed crowd around them groaned loudly, their hopes dashed by his refusal.

But Alex wasn't here to please them. His only concern was Sophia.

The taxi pulled up swiftly, and Alex gently placed Sophia in the back seat, intending to let her go alone.

But then he looked at her-her face flushed, eyes half-lidded, lost in a haze of alcohol and emotion.

She was vulnerable.

Too vulnerable. There was no way he could leave her like this, not tonight.

"Where are you headed?" asked the driver.

"The best hotel in Paris!" Sophia shouted drunkenly, leaning heavily against Alex.

"Four Seasons?" the driver clarified.

"Exactly!" Sophia yelled with determination.

Alex raised an eyebrow. "You're staying there?"

Sophia nodded, eyelids fluttering closed as she clung tightly to Alex's arm, refusing to let go.

The ride to the hotel was brief, the city lights passing swiftly.

As they arrived, Sophia stirred slightly and murmured, "Penthouse," barely awake yet holding tightly to Alex's hand.

Alex swept her into his arms once more, holding her in a protective princess carry as he stepped into the opulent lobby of the Four Seasons, every eye turning toward them as if the moment itself belonged in a storybook.

"Room, sir?" asked the receptionist politely.

"Penthouse," Alex replied evenly.

"You're in luck, sir. It's rarely available, but someone canceled at the last minute. How would you like to pay?"

Alex glanced down at Sophia, who was now fast asleep, her delicate face resting softly against his shoulder.

He wondered bitterly if it was Gilbert who canceled, knowing Sophia had run off.

"Card," he said simply, handing it over without hesitation.

Soon, a bellhop escorted them swiftly to the penthouse.

Alex laid Sophia gently onto the massive bed, the silvery moonlight casting an ethereal glow on her perfect features

She was breathtaking, her peaceful face causing a painful ache in his chest.

Unable to resist, he reached out and softly caressed her cheek, his fingers trembling with suppressed emotion.

He loved this woman desperately, but fate seemed determined to keep them apart.

Tonight, all he could give her was the tenderness of his unspoken affection. "Sleep well," he whispered softly, standing slowly to leave.

But before he could step away, Sophia reached out, gripping his arm gently.

"Stay with me... just a little longer," she murmured sleepily.

Alex hesitated, then sat beside her, letting her curl into him.

Her warmth seeped into his skin, making his heart pound.

"Alex," Sophia whispered softly, eyes still closed.

"If today was our last day—if there was no tomorrow would you still love me?"

His gaze shifted to the Paris skyline outside the vast window, the moon casting gentle beams over the city.

The weight of longing filled his chest.

"Yes," he admitted quietly, his voice heavy with emotion.

"Would you marry me?" Sophia asked, voice fragile yet hopeful.

"That was always the plan," Alex sighed, brushing a strand of hair tenderly from her face.

"But fate already brought us together once, remember? And then it tore us apart." Sophia smiled softly, a sleepy giggle escaping her lips.

"I remember marrying you clearly. But I don't remember us ever getting divorced."

"You're drunk, Sophia," Alex chuckled gently, though his heart squeezed at her words.noveldrama

"No, I'm not," she protested softly, nestling her head into his chest.

"I remember waking up beside you that first night we met... I remember everything. And if I can still remember that, then I'm not drunk now, am I?"

Alex smiled warmly, surrendering to the intimacy of the moment.

"Alright, maybe you're not drunk. Maybe I'm the one who's drunk."

As he wrapped his arms gently around her, a comforting silence enveloped them.

In that perfect moment, nothing else mattered.

Everything felt right, as though the world had finally stopped fighting against them.

Leaving only the two souls tangled in each other's embrace.

Sophia's fingers traced gentle patterns across Alex's chest, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Alex... who are you, really?"

He gazed out into the darkness, feeling her warmth pressed against him, then slowly closed his eyes.

"Me? I'm a king."

Sophia giggled softly, the sound warm and teasing. "You're drunk, Alex. Tell me, how exactly did you become a king?"

"A long time ago," he said, smiling faintly, "I fought and defeated the old king. That's how I took his throne."

She laughed, resting her chin on his chest, eyes sparkling playfully.

"Well, that's believable enough. You're certainly good in a fight."

Her laughter quieted suddenly, replaced by intense seriousness as she leaned forward.

Her face hovered mere inches from his, breath warm against his lips.

“Listen, Alex—I don't care if you're really a king, a soldier, or the greatest liar who

ever lived. I love you exactly as you are. Can you love me that way?"

Alex stared into Sophia's shimmering eyes, confusion mingling with longing.

"What do you mean?"

Her voice shook slightly, heavy with emotion.

"Tonight, I'm just a woman hopelessly in love with you. Will you dare love me back?"

Alex cupped her cheek tenderly, heart hammering painfully in his chest. "Sophia... I love you so much it hurts. I ache for you every moment we're apart,

and dream of nothing else but spending my life with you-but..."

Before he could finish, Sophia pressed her lips to his, silencing him with an urgent, desperate kiss.

"No buts tonight, Alex. Right here, right now, I'm yours. Completely."

A thousand thoughts raced through Alex's mind, worries and uncertainties battling fiercely inside him.

But the passion of her kiss drowned everything else out.

Her lips tasted of desire, warmth, and surrender, crashing through him like an unstoppable wave, sweeping away every shred of his control.

In that instant, there was nothing else but the two of them-two souls burning fiercely, two hearts beating as one.

There was no tomorrow, no past, just this singular moment of desperate need.

They shed their clothes hurriedly, their bodies fitting together perfectly, as if fate itself had sculpted them specifically for each other.

Sophia held Alex close, tears glistening in her eyes, pleading. softly, Take me, Alex. Make me yours, completely and forever. Until the day I die, I belong only to you."

As Alex made love to her, he couldn't shake the lingering ache in his heart. "You're drunk, Sophia. Promise me you won't regret this tomorrow."

Sophia clung tighter, whispering fiercely, "I'm not drunk, Alex. If I am drunk at all, it's on you-your scent, your touch, your love. I love you with every ounce of my being, even if it destroys me."

"You're adorable when you're drunk," Alex murmured playfully, pressing his lips against her neck.

"You drink too much beer, say sweet nonsense, and suddenly decide you love

me. That only happens when you've had too much."

Sophia smiled mis

vously, nibbling gently at his neck.

"Tell me then-what am I like when I'm sober?"

Alex's voice darkened, thick with raw pain.

"When you're sober, you hate me. You always push me away, and it tears me

apart."

Sophia tightened her embrace,

pressed a soft, lingering kiss to

Alex's lips, and whispered with a voice both fierce and tender, "Then let me love you until every scar fades."

"Tonight until every wound is healed. I'm yours completely, my king." Her laughter danced softly in his ear.

"You're drunk,” Alex said, half-smiling, heart pounding.

As much as he wanted to believe every word, a part of him still clung to caution-

because if this was all just wine and fantasy, it would break him in the morning. "Maybe you're the one who's drunk, Alex. A king?" she laughed softly, eyes glinting with affection. “That just proves how far gone you really are.” "Maybe I am," Alex whispered, melting into her touch.

At the edge of the bed, Sophia's handbag toppled to the floor, spilling its contents.

Among them was a small bottle of anti-intoxication pills, something Sophia had started carrying after her last disastrous encounter with Gilbert. Tonight, before she even touched a drink with Alex, she'd carefully taken two pills.
