The CEO’s little ones

Chapter 11

Chapter 11:.

“So today was an accident too, are you just using me as a shield?”.

Since she was Joseph’s employee, he would not allow her to be criticized and questioned by others without any basis. That’s why he was willing to help her.

Joseph leaned toward her bending his body and whispered in her ear. His voice was as cold as ice, “I hope this is the last time something like this happens. If you throw yourself at me again, I won’t mind putting a premature end to your three months here.”

Joseph was staring at her so hard that she felt intimidated and scared just looking into his eyes. Hayden felt something stuck in his throat and there was no way to dislodge it.

However, luck was in his favor when a sound suddenly broke the silence signaling the arrival of the elevator. Joseph had no intention of prolonging the situation any further, so he turned and disappeared into the elevator.

Only then did Hayden’s tense body relax considerably.

She really couldn’t picture a good image of him in her mind.

“Miss Downey.”

When Hayden arrived at her apartment, she was stopped by her assistant, Vanessa. Her face was full of anguish and nervousness.

“What happened, what’s wrong?”

Vanessa replied with a bitter expression, “There’s a little guest throwing a tantrum in a VIP suite on the twentieth floor. He wouldn’t eat anything and everyone who tried to come in to comfort him had been turned away. Now, the room is in total disarray, if he were to fall on something in the room and hurt himself, the responsibility would fall on the hotel.”

“A small guest staying in a VIP suite on the twentieth floor?”.

Hayden couldn’t recall any guests fitting this description on his list. So he asked, “Is this a newly arrived guest?”

His assistant nodded immediately, “You might say so. He is only five years old and at such a tender age he has a temper. No one can calm him down and his family isn’t around either. He’s so angry that he smashes everything in the room.”

“What, his family isn’t here, really?”. Hayden instantly made up his mind, “Come on, take me there.”

His assistant was waiting precisely for Hayden to utter those words as he slipped behind Hayden, “He hasn’t eaten for a whole day, and we’re afraid something undesirable will happen if things continue like this. If things come to that, we wouldn’t be able to bear the consequences.”

“His parents aren’t by his side, so you can’t blame him for feeling insecure.” Hayden pressed the elevator button as he explained, “How can they leave their child alone in a hotel room? Do you think that kind of behavior is acceptable?”

His assistant shrank back as he nodded with an unnatural expression.

In front of a VIP suite, there was some commotion. There was the sound of some pottery breaking and a waiter let out a shout in the aftermath. Several employees were gathering around the entrance to the suite at the time.

“Miss Downey is here.”

Amid the noise, Hayden crossed a path opened by the onlookers and entered the suite. He saw that everything in the living room was in tatters. Cushions and pillows from the sofa were strewn all over the floor, fruit juice stains were also visible on the floor. Pieces of broken dishes were mixed in with Italian noodles thrown haphazardly on the floor. The lamp next to the couch had also been knocked over and it looked like there was no room left in the whole place for anyone to set foot.

Hayden sucked in a cold sigh as he couldn’t believe this was the work of a five year old.

“Where’s the kid?” He asked quietly.

Another attendant pointed hurriedly in the direction of the room, “He’s locked himself in there, Miss Downey, what do you think we should do now?”.

Outside the room were a dozen employees including waiters, waitresses, receptionists and also the managers, but none of them were able to come up with a solution.

Hayden frowned and asked, “Have you contacted the boy’s parents?”

“At the moment we can’t contact them.”

Some employees exchanged glances with each other as if they were secretly communicating some information.noveldrama

“Never mind, then.” Hayden rolled up his sleeves and ordered them, “Inform the kitchen to prepare a bowl of custard and also a bowl of boiled dumplings, make sure the flavor is not strong. Also send someone to tidy up this mess.”

After saying that, Hayden navigated through the mess on the floor and headed in the direction of the room.

“We’re just going to let her in, just like that?”

“Are you saying you want to go in instead?”.

“No way. If I piss off little Noah, I’ll lose my job.”

The faint sounds of gossip weren’t loud enough for Hayden to pick up.

The bedroom door was slightly ajar, and the gap was enough to peek into the room and make out the situation inside. Pillows were scattered on the floor and a tiny figure dressed in plaid pajamas was sitting on the icy floor. His back was to the door and his motionless figure made him look like a statue.

“Hello…”

Hayden tried to start a conversation, but it was obvious that the diminutive figure wasn’t planning to answer him. He tried to approach him, but after taking two steps, the diminutive figure started moving and threw something at him. That unidentifiable object was heading toward her at great speed.
