The Heartbreak Prescription

My Dad Please Come 931

Shaun curled his lips into a smile. “What’s the rush?”

Halsey blinked. What did he mean?

She glanced out the window. This wasn’t the road to her house. He had basically kidnapped her today-taking charge behind the wheel and dragging her along wherever he pleased. Now, it was late, and he still wouldn’t let her go home.

Halsey asked, “Where are you taking me now? I want to go home.”;

Shaun turned to her and gave her an amused look. “Why are you so nervous? Are you afraid I’ll eat you?”

“You’re joking, right? A gentleman like you would never do something like that.”

She was clearly trying to butter him up.

But Shaun wasn’t buying it. “That depends on how well you behave.”

Halsey kept quiet.

Half an hour later, the luxury car pulled up in front of a villa-Shaun’s place.

He opened the door. “Ladies first.”

Halsey hesitated. “I should probably head home. It’s getting really late. I don’t want to bother you.”

She spun around and tried to make a run for it.

Shaun had already guessed she would do that. He stepped in front of her, blocking her escape. “Being naughty again, are we?”

“I-”

Before Halsey could finish, Shaun scooped her up in his arms.

“Put me down!” she yelped, struggling.

Shaun carried her straight into the villa, up the stairs, and into the master bedroom.

Halsey instantly recognized it. The cool-toned decor, the sleek and minimal design—it was definitely his style. Even the bed

carried his fresh, clean scent.

Her cheeks flushed. “I should really go.”

She tried to escape again.

Shaun grabbed her slender ankle and pulled her back onto the bed, pinning her down. “You’re already in my bed. Where else do you think you’re going?”

Then he lowered his head and kissed her.

Halsey placed her hands on his firm chest, trying to push him off. “Stop! Didn’t I already help you back at the theater? Why do you still want it?”

Shaun popped open a button on his shirt and smirked. “That was just an appetizer. I haven’t had the main course yet.” noveldrama

Halsey was speechless.

Thinking about the baby, she tried to pull away. “Please don’t… Let me go…”

But Shaun pinned her wrist down against the bed, his voice firm. “It’s a little late for second thoughts.”

“Shaun-mmph!” Halsey couldn’t finish before his lips silenced her again.

By morning, Halsey felt someone pinching her cheek.

She turned over, frowning, and murmured, “Stop messing around… I want to sleep…”

A soft, low laugh rang beside her.

The sound made her lashes tremble. She slowly opened her sleepy eyes.

She and Shaun were in the same bed. He was already awake, propped up on one arm, watching her with a smile. He was still pinching her face.

Halsey snapped awake as last night’s madness came flooding back.

Shaun smiled lazily. “Morning.”

Halsey blinked, then quickly pulled the blanket over herself. “What…”

Shaun raised a brow. “No need to hide. I’ve already seen all of you. There’s nothing to be shy about.”

Halsey had no words.
