The Twin Alphas Warrior Luna (RYN)

Warrior 238

RYN

Since the moment I got shot, my wolf had instantly begun to push the bullets out, but as soon as I was carried into the helicopter, a sharp sting had pierced my neck and instantly, my wolf went weak.

“Rest to avoid surprises.” I heard Mr. Blackwell murmur while his son got attended to by healers

I pretended to be unconscious and when I heard I did some damage to Adam’s heart and he would need surgery as soon as we landed, a myriad of emotions went through me.

My heart squeezed at the thought of being betrayed, but then, that same heart, felt concern for his well–being. Did I do too much with Adam? Did he really mean to hurt me?

Of course he did, and if I want to survive. I have to get that through my thick skull.

Adam is no longer my friend and the bullet fragments slowly moving under my skin are a testimony to that.

When the helicopter landed, I paid attention as I was carried down on someone’s hefty shoulders. While he moved. I overheard Mr. Blackwell being welcomed by some people, and from the stench in the air, I could easily detect that we were in the vicinity of rogues.

Why? I couldn’t tell.

After that, the man carrying me went down some steps into the ground. Then we walked down some dimly lit stone hallways before I was placed in a sitting position in a railcar that took us through the dim darkness.

I lost sense of time as we rode, on and on, until eventually we emerged smack in the middle of a forest where yet another car was waiting at the end.

Like a parcel, I was handed over to two hefty men – the same men who were now gripping both sides of my arms as they dragged me in behind Mr. Blackwell into an old building.

I managed to raise my head, and that’s when I saw historical paintings on sky high glass walls. The old building seemed to be like a temple of sorts and from the paintings, it seemed it was a temple used for worshipping Lycaon, the Lycan god.

“Well, well, well, look what the wolf dragged in.” A familiar voice said, and Mr. Blackwell chuckled darkly in response.

I shifted my head to the side to see past his very broad shoulder, and that’s when I saw the Caines and the Cresswells standing on a raised platform some feet away, all dressed in black.

I noticed Konan and Howard were present beside their parents, but Sadie was not. noveldrama

About six steps led to the raised platform, and after Mr. Blackwell went up, I was forced to go up as well.

Biting down on the pain blossoming in my chest, I let the guards roughly handle me up the little steps that led to the platform, and as soon as I got there, Lydia came forward and landed a hot slap on my face.

My head swung to the side with the impact of her assault.

“That’s for my brother, you murderous wench!”

I smiled in response as I slowly turned my head to her and while she looked appalled at my reaction, I summoned all the strength I had, swung my head back and gave her a headbutt.

Lydia staggered back, almost falling, but she was immediately caught by her husband, who steadied her. A small smile curved my lips as I watched her nose gush with blood.

09:34 Wed, 19 Mar

I have been meaning to do that for a very, long time.

One of the guards who held me let my arm go, only to kick me in the back of the knees, hand renough in make me credite

the floor.

I turned around and glared into his face, and I think that infuriated him because he backhanded my face with his hand, making my bottom lip sting.

I touched my lip to see blood on it and I turned to him once again, I swear by the gods, you will suffer for this I promiend and when he raised his hand yet again to hit me, I braced for the pain.

“ENOUGH!” Mr. Cresswell said, glaring at my abuser. His eyes carried a fire 1 had never seen before. Tout’ve made pense point. You don’t need to hit her again!”

Lydia’s brows furrowed before she suddenly pushed away from her husband, her nose stuffed with her handkerchief Wesa do you mean by that?! Why are you defending her?”

“I am not defending her.” Mr. Cresswell’s voice strained. “I just don’t stand for violence!

“Yeah, well, did she think of that when she had my brother killed?!”

Mr. Cresswell’s face twisted in a don’t–be–ridiculous look. “Your brother did a lot worse to her. He wauit exactly a saint, wa he?”

Lydia scoffed, shaking her head. “I knew it! I knew you were in love with this skank!”

“Oh, for Goddess‘ sake!” Mr. Cresswell threw his hands up in defeat.

“Well, why don’t you marry her then?!” Lydia bellowed before storming off and Mr. Cresswell went after her, calling her

name.

Mr. Caine snickered while his wife and sons watched me with a stone–face. Behind them were seats, and it was on one of these that Mr. Blackwell sat and poured himself a bourbon drink.

The Caine family sat as well, but Konan came forward, a smirk playing on his lips. “Finally,” he said, folding his arms behind him. “You’ve been caught. How the mighty have fallen.”

I refused to reply because he wasn’t worth whatever energy I had left. So I chose to ignore him.

“Why am I here?” I asked, directing my gaze at Mr. Blackwell.

The man who had previously been in a conversation with Mr. Caine looked at me, his eyes hardening, “Simple. You are here to die.”

My heart hammered, but I forced myself to give an air of nonchalance.

“That’s sad.” I replied. “I thought with me in your hands, you would want something far better.”

“Something like what?” Mr. Caine interjected, shifting forward in his seat.

I gave a one shoulder shrug. “I mean, as the soon–to–be Queen of the East, and Luna to the King of the West, I could grant you immunity. You don’t need to run away for the rest of your lives. You could be pardoned.”

Mr. Blackwell started with a chuckle that evolved into a cackle.

“You think we were going to be on the run?” Mr. Blackwell stated, and he must have seen the confusion on my face, because he stood

and signalled to the guards behind me. “Follow me.” He said and once again, I was forced by the men forward.

up

We followed him out of the building through another exit into the cold night air and at first, I emerged in a large expanse

field, and as I wondered where he was taking me, 1 big frilling rings hill in the distance

As we walked there, I could hear the sounds of the raging ocean betw

I took us about ten minutes to get there, during which I almost Exinted three runs, and the closest to the place, the more it looked like a warrhenise of sorts.

With a keycard. Mr. Blackwell opened the doors, and as we entered, I realized dur warehouse we put a frine. Exeep down into the ground, was a massive lab ten times bigger than a hallmom and in it were roses and as of incubators hundreds. if not thousands of incubators with naked people in them male and female, oneninos and honked in an PV

“Let me introduce you to the new and improved Elite Force 20‘ Mr. Blackwell said, coming in and beside me “Finnegan, may his soul rest in peace, gave his all to make the perfect serum and create the perfect soldiers. He even sacrificed his sons as test subjects and with your dearest Miro, we finally got the right formula. So if you think we are running away, think again.”

I turned to him, appalled and disgusted. “All these people agreed to do this?

Mr. Blackwell cocked his head to the side. “Not technically. They are all dead people whose families sold for our research purposes.”

My disgust intensified. “So what, you have the army of the undead. What do you intend to do? Take over the South and start a war with us?*

Mr. Blackwell smiled. “Yes. I very much would like to do that. But this isn’t just not an army, this is ten years of painstaking research. Ten years of finding ways to make our soldiers five times more superior to a Blood Wolf.” He smiled at the shock on my face. “You have no idea the hell we are about to raise.”

My brows furrowed as I watched him. “You’re insane! You’re no match for three kingdoms combined!”

“Two.” He corrected. “The East doesn’t have an army and by the time you get around to having one, my soldiers will awaken in a few hours and the North will be in ashes while the West will be ripe for the taking

For a second, my wolf flared, sending a surge of power through. “You’ll never succeed!” I lunged for Mr. Blackwell, but he stepped out of reach and the same man who had assaulted me earlier came forward and punched me hard in the gut.

I doubled over, feeling pain tear through me. My eyes watered and through my blurry vision, I saw Mr. Blackwell come forward. “I already have. You think my precious son came just for you?”

Suddenly, it dawned on me. Adam had been found canvassing the area, acting lost. He wasn’t lost. He was looking for ways

  1. in.

“I know your loved ones will be coming for you as well.” Mr. Blackwell continued walking away. “I have set the perfect trap for them and while they struggle out of that, the North will burn!”
