"What's all the commotion outside?" Lila pressed her fingers to her temples, hoping to ease the throbbing ache.

Kieran gently helped her sit up. "Andy's mother is here."

Lila's expression tensed. she took a moment to steady her breathing before saying, "Don't listen to them. I just want to hold them legally accountable. Kidnapping, extortion, attempted murder—Andy's guilty of all of it. "Has Andy still not come to? What happened exactly?"

The fall had occurred after she'd blacked out. Lila massaged her ching head and said wryly, "Well, I guess getting hit on the head wasn't entirely bad. It knocked my memories back into place."

But she still felt awful, the dizziness making her feel like she was going to throw up. "I'm feeling kind of sick. What happened to Andy, though? Wasn't he fine before I passed out?"

Lila flushed slightly. "I'm not saying this out of spite or revenge. I mean it. You deserve it. You're her daughter, Faith. You have just as much right to it as Andy ever did."

"I know." Faith wheeled herself in. "But since I'm cutting ties with them completely, I don't want anything from them."

with Lila. Even if you don't take everything, you should at least claim what's rightfully yours. While you're at it demand your share of everything under Dennis' name too."
