Chapter 394
Lemira glanced up, her tone detached, "The Langstons? I've cut ties with them. Their drama doesn't concern me anymore."
Ever since Lemira had a virtual showdown with a troll, everyone knew she had a sharp tongue.
After ending her live stream, Lemira felt a rumble in her stomach. Hunger.
She had barely shut down her laptop when there was a knock at the door.
Puzzled, Lemira headed to the foyer. "Who is it?"
"Delivery."
"I didn't order anything."
"The address checks out. You're Lemira, right?"
"Yes, that's me."
With that, the delivery guy handed her the package and left.
Lemira found it odd. Only three people knew where she lived. Orion, Thaddeus, Janice.
Ding. A text from Orion flashed on her screen: [Don't forget to eat.]
Looking down at the delivery, Lemira realized he had ordered for her.
Sitting down, she texted back, [Who asked for your charity? I can order my own food.] [Just trying to make amends,] he replied.
A small smile flickered across Lemira's face before she quickly suppressed it.
She wasn't hungry before, but now her stomach was singing a different tune.
And the food? Exactly to her taste.
After eating, she glanced at their chat and deliberately left him on read.
The next day, Lemira woke up without an alarm, a rarity for her. She had an esports banquet in the evening. She texted Janice to meet at her apartment to get ready together.
Another message popped up: [Lunch is at the door.]
Getting up, Lemira received the lunch package, her mood visibly brightening. [Thanks, boss,] she texted Orion. [Not mad anymore?]
[I was never mad.]
Seeing her reply, Orion's lips curled slightly. Not mad, huh?
He set aside his phone, just as Matthew's yelling filled the air. "Bro, you're back? Why didn't you tell me!"
Orion glanced at Matthew, shoving him aside with a hand.
That's when Mrs. Amanda appeared. "Matthew, act your age. Stop pestering your brother."
"I just wanted to chat with him."
Matthew was curious if his brother had given in to his sister-in-law's absurd demands. He really didn't want to drop out of the competition.
Mrs. Amanda's headache intensified at the sight of her younger son. "Aren't you attending some esports dinner? Better head out early
Orion asked, "What kind of gathering is it?"

Mrs. Amanda perked up. "Is their captain that good?"
Orion frowned, warning Matthew with a look.
Defeated, Matthew scampered off.
Mrs. Amanda sighed. "If only he had half your level-headedness. The Sinclairs have been asking about dinner together."
"Mom, I'm swamped. Don't commit to anything on my behalf. You'll be the one embarrassed," Orion deflected.
Mrs. Amanda wanted to argue but was interrupted. "Mr. Langston, your grandmother awaits in the garden," the butler informed. Orion made his way to the garden.
His grandmother gestured him over. "Come, help me trim these bushes."
Orion grabbed the shears, experienced in this task.
His grandmother eyed him. "Heard you met a girl you like in Lyria?"
"Grandma, it's hardly anything serious."
"With your looks, no girl is out of reach if you truly pursued."
Orion paused, looking at the elderly woman, hesitating.
With a bitter smile, he confessed, "Grandma, she's the girl from back then."
The cup slipped from the old lady's grasp.
What do you think?
