Chapter 1762
After Jackson left the apartment, Fiona sprang out of bed, shaking off any trace of the sleepyhead she seemed just moments before. Truth was, during dinner, she'd noticed a message pop up on Jackson's phone about a meeting at his company. She didn't have all the details, but she knew Jackson had to be there. This was her golden ticket to head back to the Sinclair estate.
The Sinclair family was no joke-Jackson was well aware of that. He preferred Fiona not to visit them too often, especially without his knowledge. If trouble came knocking, he wanted to be the first to know.
Dressed in her signature stylish, laid-back outfit, Fiona hopped onto her motorcycle. With a twist of the throttle, the engine roared to life, and she zipped
off.
In about half an hour, Fiona pulled up at the Sinclair estate. She took off her helmet and dismounted her bike with a flair that was hard to miss. Right away, she spotted a young Sinclair at the entrance, looking like he was hesitating on the doorstep.
Ignoring him, Fiona headed straight inside.
The young man, stuck on entrance duty as a punishment, recognized her right away. Remembering his predicament was thanks to Fiona, he couldn't help but angrily grab her wrist.
"You can't go in!" he snapped, yanking her back hard. Collecting himself, he added, "Fiona, because of you, I'm stuck here as punishment, and you still have the nerve to stroll in like nothing's wrong!"
Fiona barely acknowledged him, shooting him a frosty look. "Looks like your folks didn't bless you with much common sense. It's laughable that you'd even try to stop me."
This was her second visit to the Sinclair estate. The first time was when she and Jackson first landed in the States. Back then, someone else tried to hold her back, but they didn't live to tell the tale. This guy must have had a death wish.
"Fiona, what do you have to be so smug about? If it weren't for being Flora's daughter, you wouldn't even have a voice here!"
Fiona wasn't about to waste her breath on him. Debating with someone like him was pointless.
With a cool demeanor, she shook off his grip and marched further into the Sinclair estate.
"Fiona! Are you even listening to me?" the guy hollered after her, irked by her audacity.
What made Fiona so bold?
He trailed her, planning to alert the Sinclair clan of her arrival, hoping it might earn him a reprieve from his punishment.
True to his plan, his loud warning quickly spread through the Sinclair household, and soon everyone knew Fiona was there.
People gathered, some hoping for drama, others just curious. To their shock, Fiona waltzed right into the heart of the estate and plopped herself in the main chair-the one reserved for the family head.
"Is Fiona out of her mind? Sitting in
the old man's chair like that
not going to walk out of here alive!" someone whispered.
"Yeah, just cause she's Flora's daughter, she thinks she can run the show? Does she even know who's calling the shots in the Sinclair family now?"

While some were eager for a showdown, others were just entertained, and a few
were even rooting for a shake-up to Mitch's rule.
