Chapter 1203
Chapter 1203:
She didn’t come right out and accuse Bryan, but Bryan stayed silent, feeling uneasy.
At that moment, Bryan realized why his attempt to catch Milford had failed.
Bryan believed Milford had probably made a run for it the moment he saw Eileen’s car.
He stole a sideways glance at the neon lights blurring past the window as the scenery rushed by. His phone suddenly buzzed.
A message from Raymond popped up: “I’ve asked around the club about Milford’s whereabouts.”
The reason they hadn’t done this sooner was that they were afraid of alerting Milford. But now that Milford had already been alerted, there was no more need for discretion. Raymond took it upon himself to make the move without waiting for Bryan’s instructions.
Eileen noticed Bryan quickly tapping out a response, and she pressed harder on the accelerator, sending the car surging forward.
Feeling the car’s speed, Bryan quickly tossed his phone into Eileen’s bag without another word.
About half an hour later, they arrived home.noveldrama
Gabriela had already gone to bed, tucked in with Ruby.
Eileen shrugged off her coat, changed her shoes, and tossed her bag aside. Just as she was about to walk off, Bryan called out, “Get my phone for me.”
Eileen dug into her bag and handed it to him, but instead of taking it, he left it in her hands. Slightly puzzled, she followed him upstairs. No sooner had she stepped into the bedroom than he pinned her against the door.

“Look at the phone,” Bryan instructed, his eyebrow arched. Hesitating briefly, Eileen complied. Under Bryan’s watchful gaze, she scrolled through messages and call logs.
“See? No contact with Presley. I haven’t even engaged in any discussions about her,” Bryan explained. There was a group chat with his old college buddies, but he had muted the notifications a long time ago.
The unopened messages had piled up—over ten thousand unread messages—proving he hadn’t been paying attention.
Satisfied, Eileen slipped the phone into Bryan’s pocket. She wrapped her arms around him, her voice softening. “What’s this about? I never said I don’t trust you.”
Bryan’s expression shifted, a hint of a smile playing at his lips. She hadn’t even blinked while going through his phone earlier. Eileen’s fingers traced lazy circles on Bryan’s back. “Are you going to tell me why you went to the club today?” Curiosity sparkled in her eyes.
After all, Bryan usually handled business for EB Group or Apex Group in more polished settings—golf courses, upscale lounges—places that suited his stature.
Bryan gently disentangled himself from Eileen’s embrace. “I was looking for someone. It’s… complicated.”
“Then uncomplicate it for me,” Eileen said, her small face catching the soft glow of moonlight through the window, her expression serious.
It was ironic for her to ask—she trusted him, yet she was the one probing for answers.
A low chuckle rumbled in Bryan’s chest. He tipped her chin up, his gaze intense. “You really want to know?” His eyes narrowed playfully, a glint in them.
