Chapter 1208
Chapter 1208:
Colby, appearing somewhat puzzled, asked, “Do you really trust him that much?”
“Of course, I trust my husband. Do you think I’ll trust you more?” Eileen responded without much thought.
“As a man, I just can’t tolerate my wife having an affair with another man. She can’t be close to another man!” Colby stated earnestly.
Eileen believed Presley hadn’t helped Colby move past the issue, which was why he couldn’t let it go. Was Colby here to cause trouble for her?
“Then what do you want from me?” Eileen asked, curious about his real intentions.
Colby paused briefly before responding with a careless look, “I think it’s only fair to give her a taste of her own medicine.”
Eileen was momentarily speechless.
“They aren’t ignorant of their actions. Since they dared to disgrace us, why shouldn’t we do the same to them?” he suggested, poised to exact his revenge.
Eileen quickly dismissed the idea. “That’s absurd. No sane person would consider that. My husband hasn’t wronged me; it’s only your wife who has betrayed you. This is a family matter, not mine. If you’re eager for revenge, find someone else to help you.”
Her words left Colby without response.
Colby’s expression darkened as he retorted, “All you women are the same. You’ll soon realize how misplaced your trust in him is. I guarantee it!”
“That’s none of your concern,” Eileen said sharply as she finished her meal and stood up. “You’re just as foolish as you appear. I hope the next time we meet, you’ll be embarrassed by the nonsense you’ve spouted today.”

With that, she grabbed her bag and started to walk away.noveldrama
Colby quickly slipped a business card into her bag, advising, “Remember my words: watch your husband closely. If you notice anything amiss, contact me immediately.”
Eileen’s bag was filled with items, making the card difficult to locate. Otherwise, she would have tossed it right back at Colby.
Realizing that people from her company were all around and not wanting to cause a scene, Eileen quickly pulled her bag back and walked away.
Colby watched Eileen leave, desire flickering in his eyes.
He admitted to himself that although Presley was more skilled at being charming and flirtatious, after years of being with her, he found himself increasingly drawn to Eileen’s quiet yet elegant beauty. Regrettably, Eileen showed no interest in him whatsoever. He wondered whether they would be compatible in a more intimate setting. Lost in thought, he began to plan something…
The nightclub.
Milford, dressed in a tattered construction worker’s outfit, had been cautiously scouting the parking lot to ensure no one was watching. Confident that he was alone, he pulled his hat down to cover his face and quickly made his way toward the entrance of the nightclub.
However, as he entered, his hat obstructed his view, and he accidentally collided with someone. Immediately, he stammered, “Sorry.”
It was Presley, who was already in pain from the previous beating and now felt even more uncomfortable due to the collision. “Who are you? Do you think you can just come into a place like this?” she said sharply.
