Shrouded Affections Winning Back My CEO Wife

Chapter 1283

Chapter 1283:

After seeing the photos, Eileen sent Raymond a voice message angrily.

“How dare you assist Presley in her plot against Bryan? Have you lost your mind? You’re going to face grave consequences!”

Raymond grimaced when he heard the voice message. He put away his phone and departed, not caring if Eileen would come here.

When Bryan opened the door of the suite, he instantly felt that something was amiss. He saw the note under the water glass, and his expression turned frosty. The door shut abruptly behind him.

Before he could react, the bedroom door swung open, and Presley appeared, dressed seductively. She pretended to be surprised to see him.

“Bryan, what brings you here? Are you here for some leisure time at the resort as well?” She glanced at the now-empty water glass and felt pleased.

“You know exactly why I’m here.” Bryan discreetly tucked the note into his pocket, scanning the room where a faint scent lingered.

Presley pretended not to understand Bryan, reaching for a bottle of red wine. “Since you’re here, there’s something I need to discuss with you.”

“I don’t have time for your nonsense. Just think about who will end up worse off because of your plots.” Bryan leaned nonchalantly against the chair near the entrance, his gaze icy.noveldrama

Presley paused as she poured the wine, her interest waning. She placed the bottle back down. “You know, if it hadn’t been for you, I wouldn’t have had to go overseas or been forced into marrying Colby.”

Bryan stayed silent, showing no interest in her words and unwilling to engage further.

Bryan’s indifference sparked tears in Presley’s eyes. “You owe me!” she exclaimed.

“What exactly do I owe you?” Bryan asked. “Aside from those unaware of the truth thinking you left because of me, everyone familiar with the real story knows better. Stop using that as your excuse.”

“But at that time, you needed someone to fend off your family’s pressure to marry Zola. Why couldn’t that person have been me?” Presley believed she wasn’t in the wrong. She simply wanted to remain in the country and escape the Deleon family’s influence.

“Do you still not see why it couldn’t have been you?” Bryan said, his voice steady. Her long-concocted manipulations were precisely what he detested.

In the past, Presley’s heart had overflowed with ardent devotion, but Bryan had never accepted her, allowing rumors to spread.

However, Presley never thought too deeply about things like that. “You’re cruel,” she said, her voice filled with pain. “You knew I wanted to help you, yet you let the Dawson family treat me like that. How can you sleep at night knowing that?”

“So, are you planning to cling to me now?” Bryan glanced at the door, which had been locked from the outside. “What? You want to use public opinion to force me to be with you?”

Outside, hurried footsteps approached.

When Presley heard that, her heart raced. “I’m not!” Amoura had advised her to divorce Colby first, believing that would give her a better chance of getting Bryan to notice her. However, Presley knew she couldn’t afford to do that. She couldn’t handle the Deleon family on her own. If she disgraced the Deleon family by demanding a divorce and Bryan refused to protect her, she would be doomed.

So, her goal today was to ensure something happened between Bryan and her. Even if she had to resort to threats, she would make sure Bryan protected her from the Deleon family.
