Shrouded Affections Winning Back My CEO Wife

Chapter 1282

Chapter 1282:noveldrama

However, Leyla had a point. Bryan had probably lied.

“You shouldn’t be moving around much, but you can find someone else to check on Bryan,” Leyla said, clearly not trusting Bryan.

Eileen wanted to prove to Leyla that Bryan would never cheat on her. She called Bailee, using the excuse that Bryan had left his phone behind to ask Bailee to check the security cameras to track where Bryan had gone. It took Bailee nearly thirty minutes to track down Bryan’s location.

“Eileen, Bryan entered a regular hotel and checked into the presidential suite on the top floor. Who… Who might he be meeting?” Bailee asked cautiously.

Eileen got straight to the point. “Just tell me who’s registered in that suite.”

“A woman by the last name Deleon booked it, but since it’s another resort hotel, they wouldn’t disclose her identity or show any pictures,” Bailee explained, wary of causing any misinterpretation.

After a pause, Eileen simply responded, “Understood.” Then, she ended the call.

Eileen stared at the screen for a moment after hanging up. Then, she looked at Leyla and said, “Grandma, the situation isn’t what you think it is.”

Leyla said, “Since you have so much faith in him, I won’t say anything. However, if you end up getting hurt, I’m taking you back to Alverton.”

Eileen didn’t refute. She had no plans to go and find Bryan, either. She resumed scrolling on her phone.

In the presidential suite, Raymond ended the call and turned to Presley with an impassive face. “I’ve done what you requested. Will you let me leave the Deleon Group if I successfully bring Mr. Dawson here?”

“Does it really matter if you leave or not?” Presley countered. “You don’t think you can just leave the Deleon Group and go back to the EB Group, do you? That’s not going to happen! And to clarify, I only said I would let you go if you help me achieve my goal.”

She was dressed in a red slip dress and had applied some perfume. As she spoke, she gestured towards a glass of water on the table. “Convince Bryan to drink this. That will guarantee my success.”

Just five minutes earlier, Raymond had seen Presley put a packet of white powder into the water.

“I’ll do it, but I want two hundred thousand,” Raymond said without hesitation.

Presley paused and then scoffed, “I thought you had more backbone. Two hundred thousand? Alright, I will give you the money if you do one more thing for me—bring Eileen here later.”

Raymond inhaled deeply, as though steeling himself for a significant choice. “Okay.”

“You can leave now,” Presley said.

Raymond took the glass of water and departed. The presidential suite featured several rooms, and Presley was in the bedroom.

Raymond carried the water into the living room and checked the clock. He figured Bryan would be arriving shortly. He hastily wrote a note, placed it under the glass, and left quickly.

From the shadows, he watched as Bryan arrived and entered the suite, snapping a few photos to send to Eileen.
