The Heartbreak Prescription

Shaun told Halsey to feed him the popcorn.

Good thing the lights in the theater had dimmed, or else Halsey’s face would’ve looked like it was on fire.

With her pale, slender fingers, Halsey held the popcorn near his lips. “Here.”

Shaun opened his mouth and took it.

Just as she was about to pull her hand back, Shaun suddenly caught her fingers between his teeth.

The teasing touch made Halsey’s lashes flutter, and the blush on her face spread all the way to the tips of her ears.

“What are you doing? The movie’s starting!” she scolded softly.

She yanked her hand back and sat up straight, eyes locked on the screen.

Shaun glanced sideways at her and smirked.

The movie began-it was a romance film, with an attractive male lead and a gorgeous female lead. It was very easy on the eyes.

At first, everything seemed normal. But once the leads got together, the tone changed. On screen, the couple embraced and kissed…and soon ended up on the bed. The man began undressing the woman.

Halsey froze.

Where was she supposed to look now? Why was this movie so intense?

She silently hoped the scene would just end already.

But the heavens didn’t hear her prayer-the film only got steamier. The sound of breathing and whispers filled the theater, making her cheeks burn.

Even a fool could tell this wasn’t a normal romance flick. This was definitely an adult film.

She turned to look at Shaun, only to find him already watching her. His gaze was dark, heated, and full of something dangerous.

“Did you do this on purpose?” she asked.

“What do you mean?” Shaun replied, his voice low and casual.

“This isn’t even a proper romance! This is basically an R-rated movie!”

Had he seriously brought her to see something like this?

Shaun let out a low chuckle. This time, he was innocent. It was his first time at a movie theater-he hadn’t known how explicit

this one would be.

“I didn’t know,” he said with an innocent look.

The sounds from the screen grew louder, and with just the two of them alone in the cinema, Halsey’s face was steaming. She seemed to have turned into a boiled shrimp.

“I’m not watching this. I’m leaving,” she said, standing up.

Since she was seated on the inside, she had to walk past Shaun to get out. But as she stepped toward him, he suddenly stuck out a leg and tripped her.

“Ah!” Halsey gasped, stumbling.

Before she could fall, Shaun reached out with strong arms, wrapped them around her waist, and pulled her into his lap.

Their eyes met.

She glared at him. “Why did you trip me?”.

“What makes you think I tripped you?” Shaun replied calmly. “I’d say you just threw yourself into my arms.”

“I swear, you’re getting worse!” she huffed.

He wasn’t like this before.

Shaun smirked. “They say women love a bad boy. Are you not into this version of me?”

Halsey didn’t respond, but she had to admit she liked it. She liked this side of him, even if he made her blush nonstop. noveldrama

She squirmed a little. “Let me go!”

The next second, his arm tightened around her waist, locking her in place. “Don’t move.”

She immediately sensed a change in his body-tense muscles, and rising heat.

Halsey looked at him, startled. “Wh-what’s going on with you?”

Shaun looked right at her. “What do you think?”
