Chapter 961
Chapter 961:
Despite being relatively new to acting, Linda’s performance was striking. Her emotions felt real, drawing everyone in.
She had built her career steadily, winning fame and awards—not just because of the Flynn brothers.
“Perfect!” Adonis called out, pleased. “Linda, that was great.”
“Really?” Linda asked, smiling through misty eyes. “As long as you’re happy with it.”
Suddenly, the area stirred.
“Mr. Flynn.”
“It’s Mr. Flynn!”
A hush fell over the crew as Eric strode in, wearing a long camel coat. The bandage on his head was gone, replaced by a short layer of regrown hair.
Whispers rippled through the set.
“Who’s he here for?”
“Isn’t it obvious? Hadley, of course.”
“But Linda’s here today too…”
Eric scanned the crowd, spotted Hadley in the corner, and started toward her.
Hadley stiffened, but then turned abruptly and hurried off—heading for the bathroom, one hand on her stomach.noveldrama
“Where is Hadley going?”
Eric narrowed his eyes and quickened his pace.
“Eric,” a sharp voice called from the side.
He turned. Linda was walking toward him with a smile on her face, still dressed in her costume. Adonis trailed behind her.

“Linda?” Eric asked, frowning. “What are you doing here?”
“What else? Work brought me here,” Linda glanced at Adonis, still smiling.
“Mr. Flynn,” said Adonis, “Linda agreed to shoot a couple of cameo scenes for me. It’s very kind of her, really.”
Linda added, “He called, and I couldn’t say no. Good thing I had a bit of time to spare.”
Before flying out to Storia, she had cleared her schedule. After returning, she hadn’t booked anything new.
Eric gave a small nod. “I see.”
“Mr. Flynn,” Adonis said, stepping in, “We’re nearly wrapped for the day. The crew’s having dinner later, and Linda’s coming too. Would you like to join us?”
“Do join us, Eric.” Linda cut in before he could answer. “I just need to take off my makeup. Wait for me, okay?”
“Alright.” Eric nodded again, unable to bring himself to refuse.
After she left, Eric scanned the area for Hadley. She was gone.
Had she run off the moment she saw him?
“Mr. Flynn,” a timid voice spoke beside him.
Eric turned to look, but he didn’t recognize the woman. “Who are you?”
“Uh…” Ayla’s face stiffened, but she forced a smile. “Mr. Flynn, I’m Ayla Ramirez. I’m one of the artists at East Entertainment Media.”
The name clicked. Phillips had mentioned her once, but Eric had trouble connecting names with faces.
He gave a small nod but had no intention of continuing the conversation.
