Shrouded Affections Winning Back My CEO Wife

Chapter 1301

Chapter 1301:

Eileen, feeling sleepy, didn’t notice the coldness in Bryan’s eyes. She just nodded, rolled over, and drifted off.

The next morning, Eileen woke up and saw the same old pregnancy meds she used to take on the table. She snapped a picture of it and sent it.

Eileen snapped a picture of the medication and sent it to Bryan. “Yesterday, the doctor prescribed me a different kind of medicine.”

“It’s just different packaging, but it works the same,” Bryan quickly replied.

Eileen went downstairs to grab some breakfast, then came back up and popped two pills into her mouth before starting her day.

At the EB Group, Bryan was in his office when a little icon on his computer began blinking. He clicked on it right away, and Raymond’s serious face appeared on the screen.

“Mr. Dawson, I’ve analyzed the medication. It’s meant for internal injuries, but it’s incredibly dangerous. If a pregnant woman takes it, it could cause birth defects or permanent brain damage to the baby.”

Bryan’s eyes narrowed, and his expression darkened. “Is it possible to trace the source?”

“This medication is pricey and not something one can just buy without a prescription. Doctors have to write prescriptions using their real names, so it shouldn’t be hard to track down the source.” As Raymond was explaining, he had already sent the medication information to his team to start investigating. The team worked quickly, and soon, they had some answers.

“Twelve bottles of this medication were sold in Onaland hospitals yesterday. We checked the names, and Presley’s is on the list. Both she and Mrs. Dawson were at the same hospital, but Presley was treated for internal injuries, while Mrs. Dawson was there for a pregnancy checkup.” Raymond couldn’t hide his excitement when he realized Eileen was pregnant again.

“Internal injuries?” Bryan asked, confused.

Raymond explained, “It seems Colby has a history of domestic abuse, and this divorce wasn’t exactly Presley’s fault. Even after she was kicked out of the family, I doubt things were easy for her.”

“Find out exactly what kind of injuries she has,” Bryan ordered, his mood darkening at the mention of Presley.

Raymond had already started digging deeper, and new information popped up on his screen during the video call.

“Presley has been plotting a lot!” Raymond exclaimed, quickly forwarding the evidence to Bryan. “She recently had an abortion and paid off a doctor to fake a gynecological report, probably to cover up the sudden end of her period so that Colby wouldn’t suspect anything.”

Bryan raised an eyebrow. “Schedule a meeting for me with Mr. Deleon,” he said. “We don’t need to deal with someone like Presley directly.”

In the afternoon, on the golf course, Javier had his arms wrapped around Amoura, showing her the ropes of golf with calm patience. Nearby, Bryan slowly approached in a golf cart. His sharp eyes narrowed as he spotted the affectionate couple, but he quickly looked away.

“Isn’t that Mr. Dawson?” Amoura spotted Bryan as he stepped off the cart and started walking their way. Raising an eyebrow, she said, “I’ve been on my best behavior lately, and you’re handling the company. If he’s here to blame me for something, you better not take his word over mine.”
